One of a small cluster of holiday homes within a secluded site, it’s surrounded by stunning countryside and has wonderful walks nearby. Just 3 miles away, Settle is an ancient market town that boasts a lofty setting at the gateway to Upper Ribblesdale, on the southern edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Known as the starting point of the Settle-Carlisle Railway, the town is home to listed buildings, independent shops and friendly inns, plus a lively market every Tuesday. There’s a lovely riverside walk here, but for longer hikes head into the Yorkshire Dales National Park or, for a real challenge, tackle the Yorkshire Three Peaks: Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. Alternatively, head across the Forest of Bowland National Landscape for a wander around the Heritage City of Lancaster (23 miles west) and on the golden sands of Morecambe Bay. Enjoy a whole new level of luxury at this no-expense-spared holiday lodge. High-end in both construction and style, it impresses from the outset, welcoming you into a spacious hallway where there’s bench seating and room to store coats, boots and outdoor gear. Move further in and the open-plan living space is, quite simply, stunning. When it’s time to retire, a corridor leads to two blissful bedrooms: a master bedroom with a king-size bed (which can be made up as two 2'6" singles on request) and its own en-suite bathroom, and a second room with a super-king-size bed. Ensuring comfort for all, there’s a separate shower room. The attention to detail continues outdoors, where you’ll find wrap-around decking with comfortable seating and a BBQ area with dining furniture. For the ultimate in laid-back luxury, there’s a sunken hot tub, sauna and outdoor shower, all delightfully private with dreamy views of the hills that stretch into the distance.
