My room, and the main lobby area, were clean and comfortable, as were the beds and pillows. My grandchildren loved the daily free popcorn and the pool and hot tub. They also liked the collection of games in the lobby available for anyone to borrow and play. The continental breakfast was better than I thought it would be. The breakfast room was very small, so I took the food back to my room, but there was a good selection of breakfast treats to choose from. There was also a bar/restaurant on site. Food and service were very good. The only negative I can think of is that housekeeping did not come in and make the beds and replace the towels. We were told that we were only staying 2 nights; if we had stayed 3, they would have done the cleaning and restocking. I assumed they would come in the morning of day 2 to straighten up. We were told at the front desk that they would bring clean towels if we asked for them. I recommend The Country Inn of Lancaster. Rooms are clean and spacious some with balconies. The pool was a good temperature and clean towels are provided. Loved the fresh water in areas infused with fresh lemons or oranges. The second building has its own coffee nook so that you don’t have to go back to the lobby. There is a restaurant/bar on site that offers room service. Room was very clean. At checkout the young lady was very nice. Perhaps a hidden gem in the shameless consumerism district on east side of Lancaster. I wish the pool didn’t close so early. The breakfast was pretty basic. Bagels (no cream cheese though!), cereal and yogurt. The staff was very nice and courteous. We have stayed there at least 3 or 4 years in a row and enjoyed it every year. They have the coffee and tea ready around the clock for all that is staying. Not I hope you enjoyed your stay and safe travels like most do! The dresser drawers almost fell on the floor when you pulled them out and the mattress was very soft.
