This hotel is not worth more than $60 a night, if that. The manager working at check in was the only redeeming quality of this hotel.
The entire hotel is under construction. There is a notice on Expedia about this but no warning at check-in. We arrived around 6pm and the hallways were covered in equipment and dust, as well as construction workers still working loudly. With young kids the equipment all over the halls was a concern and we did have to move some out of our way, including a cart blocking the exit stairs.
We were put in a “renovated room.” It looked somewhat nice at first glance but there were stains all over the carpet, the beds were very uncomfortable, and the shower was not the cleanest. You can tell they did the renovation as cheap as possible.
Our room was hot which made it uncomfortable to sleep. When the thermostat was changed to below 70 the fan turned off. When we asked about this, we were told in the winter there is only heat and the summer only AC so we couldn’t adjust it below the 70 it was set at. He said he was bringing us a fan but we never received it.
The pool area was decent, bigger than a typical hotel pool.
Finally, the construction workers were staying at the hotel when they weren’t working. They gathered in the pool area and were drinking, vaping, and using the pool tables as chairs so we were not able to play pool. The manager did address this with them but it seems they have control of the space rather than paying guests.
