A great stop over

Stopped over on the way through France about 5.5 hours from the tunnel. Great to have a dip in the pool after a long drive dinner was amazing and 2 mins from the motorway ideal.

The room was nice and clean and spacious for my husband, my 10 yr old son and I. No noise, blackout curtains, it has a gym, a business center, kids area, babyfut. Ths breakfast was amazing. We stayed for one night only and would definitely come back.

Stop over for a night while driving south. Pleasant hotel, lovely service. Happy to store our two electric bikes securely in a conference room overnight. EV chargers worked perfectly overnight. Nice late afternoon swim in the pool.

Right off the motorway - stop over.

Decent one night stay on our way to Barcelona. It is a lot nicer on the inside than what the outside and location looks like. Right off the motorway and within a light industrial area, which is fine. We didn’t use the pool, breakfast was great and rooms standard Novotel, which is good. People helpful and polite.

Disappointing experience at Novotel Bourges Unfortunately, our stay at the Novotel Bourges was very disappointing, particularly because of how we were treated when we politely asked for a simple ice cream for our autistic son. We had hoped for a welcoming environment, but this incident set a negative tone for the rest of our visit and left us feeling unwelcome. Our son has specific dietary restrictions and cannot eat many foods. He wanted something small while we were eating, so we asked if it was possible to buy an ice cream from the restaurant for him at the time. We were told this was not possible unless we ordered a full meal — which he could not eat — making the response feel inflexible and unhelpful. Eventually, Eduardo did provide the ice cream, but instead of handing it over, he placed it down abruptly in front of my wife without explanation and then ignored us for the rest of our time there. We were not rude or confrontational at any point; we were simply trying to ensure our son had something he could enjoy. The room was also disappointing. It looked nothing like the photos on the website and was not the standard we expected, and did not reflect the advertised images. It felt tired, dated and in need of refurbishment, as though it had not been updated for many years. On a positive note, the food in the restaurant was very good — tasty and enjoyable, which we appreciated. Sadly, the overall experience meant we decided not to stay on our return journey.

Spoilt by horrendous noise in the restaurant and in the bar, where it was impossible to leave as a huge group of Dutch people blocked the exit with their seats which they had arranged in a circle.

Excellent welcome for families. Toys and books available which is incredibly helpful. Book the restaurant if you want to eat there. Had no availability until 9pm which is obviously too late for young children. There are limited options nearby.

We booked due to previously good experiences with the Novotel brand. The hotel is excellent, there is a good pool, parking and loads of charging points for electric vehicles. The rooms are good. Our only problem was the service from the restaurant staff which slightly spoilt our stay. Having booked for 2 adults and 2 children on a half board basis in the restaurant we found out this didn't include the children at this point. Not a huge problem on its own but a surprise. There was a buffet starter option and 3 main courses on offer which were great, however my daughter aged 13 was disappointed she had to have this and wasn't allowed to order from the children menu which my 11 year old son was pleased to order from. She is 13 so arguably this is understandable but it was disappointing for her to have to wait (with the adults) over an hour for her main course to arrive whilst the children course arrived for the 11 year old almost immediately. In isolation none of these things would have been a big factor if it not for the fact we were ignored by the significant number of staff in the restaurant for long periods of time who seemed to find other things to occupy themselves with. Another couple we spoke to who joined later were having smiler issues with the service. There seemed no-one appropriate to speak to in the evening so we spoke to the reception staff on check out, the lady merely smiled at us and again offered no apology.

Déçu par ce Novotel du groupe ACCOR Chambre 1 lit double alors que 2 lits simples demandés, bouteille d’eau traînant sous les meubles et poubelle non vidé, oreillers dignes d’un ibis budget et enfin clim bloqué à 24 degrés pour des raisons écologiques, sauf qu’avec la canicule les chambres était à plus de 24. Bref j’avais choisi le Novotel pour plus de confort après un long trajet et j’ai mal dormi. Je ne conseille pas cet établissement
