Gather family and four-legged friends in this exceptional country home. Tucked away on the edge of a working farm in a peaceful village location, there are a wealth of scenic walking routes and cycle trails close by. Sherburn in Elmet is a historic village dating back to the 9th century and boasts a range of shops, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants for fine food and local produce. There are also two great parks within easy reach with play facilities for children and plenty of lovely dog walks. With the train station less than half a mile away, there are many places of interest nearby. For a spot of retail therapy, head into the metropolitan city of Leeds which can be reached within 15 miles or spend a day visiting the popular city of York (16 miles), both of which are just a 10-minute train ride away.
Step inside the bright and welcoming entrance hall and discover stylish country interiors for an unforgettable family holiday. Kick off your boots, hang your coats and head through to the formal lounge. With exposed beams and contemporary touches, the lounge has plenty of space to cosy up on one of the comfy sofas and watch your favourite films on the Smart TV beside the fire. The farmhouse kitchen/diner has everything the chef of the group needs to lovingly prepare a light snack or evening meal, including a traditional AGA. There is a breakfast island in the kitchen with three bar stools, ideal for those who want to grab a quick coffee, and a more formal place to indulge in a hearty meal at the built-in dining table with views over the garden. At the other side of the entrance hall is a handy utility room for wiping down muddy paws, and two steps down is the first of the five bedrooms, Here, you will also find a downstairs shower room. The rest of the family can ascend the staircase to find the other four bedrooms, each as spacious and sumptuous as the next. The master bedroom is super-king-size with an en-suite shower room and views across open fields. There is then another super-king-size bedroom boasting a zip-and-link bed (which can be made up as twins on request), and two king-size rooms. These bedrooms share a family bathroom.
Large double doors from either the entrance hallway or kitchen lead outside to one of the many seating areas, furnished with tables and chairs so you can dine alfresco – why not enjoy drinks in the summer sun in the outdoor bar area? The lawned garden, up some steps, boasts picnic benches and is fully enclosed, so ideal for dogs. There is also shared use of an enclosed field for children and their canine companions to play. Across a shared driveway and reached via some steps at the rear.
