We had an awesome time staying at La Toubana! The set up of the resort on the cliff side is very unique….. having a pool up top overlooking the sea and beach below offers the best of both worlds. They have done a great job of making each bungalow feel secluded utilizing the elevation of the cliff and foliage of the land. Bungalow 19 had a great view of a small cover and cliff side but also the southern tip of Basse-Terre in the background. This resort is on the smaller scale and more intimate, if you’re looking for busy nightlife this is not the place. At one point we had the pool to ourselves for close to 2 hours. Drinks and food are a little on the higher end compared to what can be found outside the resort. I would recommend getting a rental car to explore the islands as the resort has free parking. Overall an amazing experience and would totally recommend and even come back!

The room was quite dirty, alot of dust and spiderwebs when we arrived. Downbeat rooms and kitchens that needs a refurbishment. The restaurant on place does not provide a proper lunch menu, only some chicken nuggets, fries etc., and for dinner pushes to serve two or three course menus with only prices for said options on the menu. We found ourselves eating outside the hotel 7 of 8 days. Swimming pool was nice, but the drain in the entramce/shower area was always clogged, not so nice when you have to walk through it. Beach was nice, free sunbeds for hotel guests. Possible to rent jetskis and seaplane excucions on site. Parking available inside gated area, and we always found a free spot. If not, parking along the road before the hotel is available.
Cleaners cleaned the room daily on demand, changed out towels, took out the trash and made the bed.
A nice stay, but the hotel has some points to improve on.
