Though I chose to stay miles from St. Andrews, found the Inn to be quiet, wonderful tv (streaming), the bar area is intimate and cozy. When I needed something extra, the girls at the Front Desk, who are also more than just working the Front Desk, will get it for you if you ask. We didn’t eat dinner at the Inn till the last night after staying for 7 nights- AMAZING! The Dining Room was beautifully decorated, with their own bar to serve you faster. We didn’t have the chance to have breakfast, but from the quality of food from dinner, I’m sure it would be wonderful too. All the girls work very hard and its obvious they take pride in their work and satisfying the guests.

Cute room. Lovely bed. Only problem was highway was mere feet away. Other little cottages on this property looked very nice and they’d be quiet. I’d stay again.

While the property was clean, the staff very pleasant and helpful and the food both at dinner and breakfast was excellent the introduction of a £5 parking fee for guests between strict hours of your booking which if exceeded would result in a parking fine I find to be unnecessary and stingy. Room very small for the price, bathroom floor in bad repair, window frames damp/mouldy, flaking paint work, floor uneven under foot. Raised drain covers outside our room, which were a trip hazard. Right on the main road lots of passing traffic noise, cobwebs in the dining area, would not recommend.

This is an older property that has been turned into a hotel. It just needs work. Going up to our rooms the hallway looked dingy, and the room itself needed paint and basic repair. I’ll post pics. The other issue was road noise. Our rooms were literally ten feet from the road. I asked if there were something away from the road, but they were fully booked. The traffic picks up at 6am heading to St. Andrew’s and ends about 7:30 pm. Plus there’s always a few racing by at night, good for a wake up. Add to that the shower water heater in our unit sounded like a jet engine when it was running. Just not very peaceful. I’d look for something else next time around.
