After an hour the receptionist informed me they could not restore power to my room, I said that I was not happy to stay in a room without electricity and asked to be moved to a different room but was informed they were fully booked. So I had no choice but to check out at 10:30pm to try to find alternative accommodation, the receptionist was not abke to refund my stay when I checked out and was told the reservations manager would do it the following day. I have called the hotel today but the reservations manager is not at work, so now I am chasing Hotels.com for a refund while they liaise with the hotel and am faced with a 24-72 hour wait for a refund. I am sure if you stay at the Guildford Manor Hotel and Spa you won't face similar issues, but my experience has been a bad one. "
