Absolutely fabulous, receptionist lovely, cleaners lovely, room was spotless, bed comfy, fast WiFi, nothing to dislike, we are in our 70's and stayed 6 nights, we had 4 previous nights in Travelodge but wished we had stayed the 10 nights there, cannot wait to return, we would highly recommend people to stay there, the lovely girl on reception even took our cases to the room, James in the bar where we signed in was a great guy, loved a bit of banter, thankyou everyone there for such a wonderful stay

Thx to the staff. We were moved up the road a few doors away and had to hand over 50£ cash 'deposit'. Our pal who got the actual room he booked didnt. Air condition units out back noisy on/ off but room fine and bed comfortable. Thx

We were placed in a sister hotel called Riley’s rooms instead, and our room was over a bar hosting a karaoke evening into the small hours. There was no answer from the contact number we were provided with to call if there were any issues, even though I called more than 10 times and left messages, the call was not returned. Be very careful if booking for Brownlow Inn that you don’t end up at Riley’s rooms, it was absolutely awful. Oh and they also make you give your credit card details as a deposit for damages, despite not being told this at the time of booking. I had a pending amount of £1 showing on my card for weeks, hence the late review.

There wasn't room to swing a cat. No cupboards, no chairs, no table or desk, no bathroom cabinet. We had to sit on the bed with our laptops on our laps. There is no food provided so we had to bring our own in, but there was no table to eat it from. On the first night there was loud (and tuneless) karaoke coming up from the pub below until midnight. On the third night the fire alarm went off at midnight and we all had to stand outside until someone could be found to turn it off. The room was only cleaned, and the towels were only changed, on alternate days. The only positive thing I can say is that the staff were friendly and helpful, letting us store our luggage before checking in and after checking out.

Riley's Rooms

We booked 2 nights at Brownlows Inn Hotel, Liverpool. We received confirmation of this booking with a street view, however on arrival we were moved to another hotel (Riley's Rooms) with no explanation. The room we were given was like a storage room with a small window which was frosted glass so you could not see out and appeared to be facing a back alley. We booked Brownlows hotel following a recommendation from a friend, however the booking was changed without informing us. We have a standard when booking hotels and this was not what we booked and paid for

The room look nothing like the photos there was "stuff" on the groud the was someone else's trash and band aid in the trash you could hear every your nabourgh's were doing and saying you could have a convosation with them if you wanted and at 6 im the morning you would get woken up by people moving beer kegs and if you want to clean your room you would have ti gi diwn 2 flights of stairs and get the hoover your self

Absolute disgrace , toilet seat was broken, television didn’t work, chips and dust under bed, shower was the worse I’ve ever seen, as for the management they had nothing positive to offer when I complained, no use taking another room as the were all the same.
