“We have stayed here before several times but this time was really disappointing. We booked an accessible room but on arrival we were told this wasn't available and we were on the first floor. “A warm welcome and shown to the room. The room itself was very comfortable. However, there was no air conditioning of any type or fan in the room in the excessive heat. It did not make for a comfortable night’s sleep. A guest fire action notice or a simple evacuation map showing the route to the nearest stairwell was not readily available behind the door. “My overall assessment on the stay would rate it no more than a three star. There are some minor maintenance issues that need to be looked into. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was very good and the full English was excellent. The idea of filling out what you wanted for breakfast the previous day was not really how I would like it as this might change, I would prefer to decide on the day. Conclusion: The accommodation was a little tired and in need of a spruce up.”
