"Unique: the wagons. Problems: prior guest dirty towel left in bathroom, soap dispenser in shower ran out of soap (very little in it). Breakfast was sparse, though the pancakes were very good."

"For the price I expected better. The room was much larger than other hotels, but nothing has been updated in decades. Thin towels, old bed spreads, no way to turn on the hot tub jets. They are making a killing having limited options near Capitol Reef. So it wasn’t “bad” just pricey for what you get. "

"I stayed in a Capitol Room. It was extremely small-even for 2 of us. You barely had room to walk let alone put your things. Apparently the newer section of the hotel has larger, updated rooms. The Capitol Room and the hotel in general could use some updates. When I arrived, the front desk staff was not welcoming. Most of the staff I interacted with were the same. It seemed like they didn’t like their job. For these reasons, I didn’t like this hotel. "

"Friendly staff, great views, safe parking, great little Mexican restaurant and gas/convenience store next to it. Location A+. Right outside Capital Reef NP. Now for the “dislikes” cost -$200 a night 2/queen beds were uncomfortable. No continental breakfast. Coffee/tea only. Disappointing for that price. They have the space/facilities to have a great breakfast area to the left when you walk in. It’s worked we were tired and dirty from hiking all day so it was kinda nice it was right outside the park."

"We had an excellent stay. Troy was unequivocally amazing. His pizza skills are top notch ! Julius made us a perfect omelettes to start our day also. With limited food options, having a restaurant on site is fantastic. We also had a wonderful time chatting with Cynthia, who is the owner. Tracy at checkout was wonderful also. We have already recommended this hotel to family and friends when they are in the area. Being a mere 17 miles from Capitol reef's entrance. The location is also fabulous. Wishing everyone there. "Stayed at for adversed sunset, did not appeare. Clear skies. Room good but needed updating. Didn’t like sink being out in room not in bathroom."

"Kitchen was blind blowing, with full size commercial stoves, multiple refrigerators and freezer microwave coffee maker dish cloths and on and on. Truly impressive. Common spaces were also incredible, including a ping pong table, giant movie theater setup, dining area with multiple tables, and lots of common space. Room size was excellent and everything about them was great apart from a crappy little coffee maker and ceiling lights that were unduly harsh. Those are minor quibbles. Mattress was very comfortable, climate controls worked as they should, electronic check-in process went well. Road Creek Inn would have been a bargain at a higher price point, and was outstanding at the current one, which I hope they continue."

"Excellent overall. As described in listing (Cowboy boutique Cabin) but with upgraded amenities (built-in heater in bathroom for cold mornings, antique lighting). No front desk staff so need to let them know your cell phone number if you book on a peripheral web site because these other websites don’t provide them with your number and they need your number to provide check-in instructions). Very clean (a little too clean if that’s possible - smell of strong cleanser when you first enter cabin). Overall excellent stay!"
