About this property
South Ken Rooftop Loft, Treetop Views, Hyde Park
Summary:
Top-floor loft in a Grade II-listed Victorian terrace on Onslow Gardens, South Kensington. Set under the eaves with treetop views over the garden square, it blends original brick, a period fireplace and eaves ceilings with calm, natural-material interiors of oak, linen and jute. A Moroccan four-poster on an award-winning Emma mattress, an en-suite bath and a linen sofa bed sleep up to four. Moments from the V&A, Natural History and Science Museums, Hyde Park and Harrods. Note: 4th-floor walk-up.
The Space:
Welcome to a calm, design-led loft under the rooftops of South Kensington.
Set on the top floor of a Grade II-listed Victorian terrace on Onslow Gardens, this one-bedroom apartment pairs period character — exposed London stock-brick, an original (decorative) fireplace, sash windows and eaves ceilings — with a grounded, natural-material interior of oak floors, linen and jute.
Open-plan living & kitchen
- Treetop views over the leafy Onslow Gardens square through the bay sash window
- Exposed-brick feature wall with the original fireplace and a wall-mounted Smart TV (sign in to Netflix, Prime, Disney+ and Apple TV with your own accounts)
- A linen sofa that converts to a sofa bed (sleeps two), styled with mango-wood side tables
- Solid-wood dining table for two — candlelit dinners, or a comfortable spot to work
- Compact, fully equipped kitchen off a breakfast bar: oven, hob, under-counter fridge, washer with integrated dryer, plus kettle, toaster and a Nespresso machine
- Fast Wi-Fi throughout — easy for remote work or streaming across devices
- A yoga mat for a slow morning stretch in the light
Bedroom & en-suite
- A solid-wood Moroccan four-poster dressed in crisp cotton and bouclé, on an award-winning Emma mattress
- Period sash window and eaves ceiling for a serene, tucked-away feel
- En-suite bathroom with a shower over a deep soaking tub, a travertine vanity and exposed brick, plus Prija toiletries — cedarwood, plant extracts and soft amber
Ideal for couples, design and architecture lovers, and anyone here for London's museums and galleries; equally comfortable for a longer, work-friendly stay.
Guest Access:
The entire apartment is yours for your stay — a private, self-contained top-floor loft behind a secure front door in a handsome stucco-fronted Victorian terrace.
You'll have full use of the open-plan living room and kitchen, the bedroom and its en-suite bathroom. Entry is by self check-in via a key safe, so you can arrive on your own schedule.
Please note the apartment is on the 4th floor with stair access only (no lift) — worth bearing in mind if you're travelling with heavy luggage. A refundable security deposit of £350 may be required depending on circumstances, refunded within 5 working days of checkout.
The Neighborhood:
South Kensington is one of London's most elegant and culturally rich quarters — leafy garden squares, stucco terraces and a cluster of world-class museums on your doorstep.
You're a short walk from the Natural History Museum, V&A, Science Museum and the Design Museum, with the Royal Albert Hall and Hyde Park close by. Harrods, Knightsbridge and the boutiques of Chelsea's King's Road are all within easy reach for shopping and dining, while the streets immediately around you stay quiet and residential.
It's a rare combination: the calm of a tree-lined crescent, with the energy of central London a few minutes away.
Getting Around:
Exploring London from here couldn't be simpler. South Kensington Station is a 6-minute walk, on the Piccadilly, District and Circle lines.
- Knightsbridge — 3 min by tube (or ~20 min on foot)
- Soho — 8 min by direct tube
- Notting Hill — 9 min by tube, or a scenic ~40-min walk through Hyde Park

Other Things to Note:
Top-floor walk-up — 4th floor, stairs only, no lift. Please be comfortable with stairs, especially with heavy bags.
Decorative fireplace — the original fireplace is one of the home's loveliest features, but under local fire regulations it's decorative only and can't be lit.
Sofa bed & bedding — one double sofa bed in the living room, in addition to the four-poster. If you'd like it made up, a one-time £15 linen fee covers cleaning and laundry — just let us know before arrival.
Pet-friendly — we warmly welcome one well-behaved pet per booking. A pet fee applies: £45/night for 1–7 nights; £360 flat for 8–29 nights; £720 flat for 30+ nights. Please tell us in advance — check-in may be declined if the fee is unpaid, and the standard cancellation policy would then apply.
Before check-in — a security deposit of £350 may be required depending on circumstances, refunded within 5 working days of checkout. All guests complete a separate ID verification and sign our rental agreement before arrival.

We want your stay to feel seamless and entirely your own. This is a self-check-in home, and we're a message away whenever you need us — local recommendations, help with an appliance, or anything unexpected. Our team responds quickly and discreetly, so you can enjoy London uninterrupted.
