A lucky find
This apartment checked a lot of important boxes for us: Soundproof windows Comfortable beds Reasonably-equipped kitchen (with some serious omissions) Excellent bathroom and WC space. Good access to a bus stop Decent local businesses Responsive manager Overall, it was good value for money, being so close to central London. While a few upgrades would make the place fabulous, the main weakness is that the tube is a 15-minute walk. If you can live with that, “Chez Guinevere” would be a fine choice for a stay in London.

August London Stay
Jennifer was a great host, the information supplied was amazing, from directions for public transport to restaurant recommendations. The flat is in a fantastic location, within walking distance to many iconic London landmarks. The flat is quite spacious and has small balcony to enjoy a wine or two. Highly recommend Jennifer's flat.

Great location!
Nice little flat for our family of four (2 adults and 2 older kids). The location is really good, right across the river from Parliament and Westminster Abbey. Great information provided from the owner on groceries, restaurants, public transportation, and things to see. Overall a great trip.

Great London stay
Great cozy apartment to stay and experience London. Outside the main hustle and bustle of main London but still easy to get to the main city. Guides were available and very helpful for anything you needed. Place was clean and we had no issues. Lift available for a large amount of luggage

Close to everything
Jennifer was excellent as a host. The information provided was above and beyond expectations and covered every aspect of our stay. Including everything in the unit as well as closest shops restaurants and attractions. The Big Bus stop was literally 200 metres from the front door and if you are athletic you could easily walk to most attractions. The unit was large compared to most in London. Comfortable beds and good sized loungeroom. The toilet and bathroom were small and adequate. The unit overlooks a lovely park. Highly recommend.

Great homebase
This flat was great for me and my friend as we spent a few days in London. Jennifer was wonderful about giving information about the flat, public transportation, and communicating about check in. Bedrooms were comfortable, the neighborhood was quiet even with trains going by frequently. I got a little turned around finding a couple of the nearby tube stations but soon settled in to the neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again. My favorite part was the short walk to Lambeth Bridge for some beautiful views of the Parliament buildings!

Unit is a good value in great location
This unit is quite basic, but you have the luxury of a two bedroom flat in a prime location at a good price. Major sites are walkable or a bus/tube ride away. City Mapper App is very useful here. The host had excellent communication and is consistent in making upgrades to this property. She recently had it sound proofed and it will be repainted soon. We loved having this oasis where we could come rest midday and enjoyed looking out on the Old Paradise Gardens and even met a fox there one evening . We were here in early May and noticed that the flat did warm up a bit during the day. opening the windows took care of this. I did see fans have been provided if needed, but if visiting in the height of summer, be aware there is not air conditioning. I would gladly come stay in this property again and recommend it to my friends.

Perfect flat in a perfect location
We were 4 adults with a full schedule of sight-seeing and plays. The flat was comfy, including beds, & we made good use of the kitchen and clothes washer. The location was quiet. A bus stop was a 3-minute walk away, and 2 tube stations were about a 12-min. walk, so getting around with an Oyster card and the citymapper app was easy. We would gladly book this apartment again.

London stay July 2019
Just spent 4 days at Jennifer's place in Lambeth. Jennifer was very responsive during the booking process and afterwards. The apartment was well equipped and the perfect size for me and my two daughters. It was very quiet and nice to be able to look out on a park. The apartment was well located. It was only about a 10 min walk to Westminster Abby and the London Eye. We were able to access all tourist destinations easily by walking or or taking the subway.

Great for families, terrific host
Jennifer's place is homey, comfy, and roomy enough for a family (parents, two school-age kids--one girl, one boy). We booked it for the twin beds in the second bedroom which are not easy to find on VRBO, as well as the excellent rate for four in London. Our first morning there, we looked down from the sunny window and spied a fox in the garden and that was the start to a charmed stay. The kids loved having a park right next door to kick a soccer ball around in or read under a leafy tree. There is also a much bigger park a few minutes away filled with families when we visited, and yet more green spaces scattered around. (We didn't know zone 1 London was so green!) While originally we tried to stay on the north side of the Thames, the apartment is so near to major attractions that crossing the river quickly became a non-issue and we appreciated coming home to the quiet of Chez Guinevere. You could walk to Westminster Abbey if you wanted to (two or three bus stops away); we easily walked to Westminster pier to catch a tour boat. Several useful buses are very close by, mostly double-decker which is entertainment in and of itself. The underground is a bit farther, especially at the end of the day with tired kids, but still just a 14 minute walk. (Highly recommend the TFL London app and site for the Trip Planning feature.) I'd say that the only thing lacking is a café right on the corner but that comes with being in a more quiet residential area. We slept with the window open and what woke us up were the birds, not city noises. (Ok, there is a train nearby but the birds were possibly louder.) Jennifer as a host is a model for hosts. Lovely to correspond with her; she possibly never sleeps. Everything is as she says it will be. Easy!

The best place to stay when visiting London!
Simply put, you can't beat staying at this flat if you are exploring London. Here are a few of the reasons: 1) The owner is incredibly responsive ahead of the trip, answers questions and makes sure everything is well prepared. 2) The neighborhood is great. It was a quiet little neighborhood where we could walk to get groceries, food or whatever we needed. Most importantly :), there is a great neighborhood pub (The Windmill) just around the corner. The area always felt safe. You have a nice view of the gardens from the balcony. 3) I was not sure if we were too far out of the main tourist attractions or not before we arrived. But as long as you enjoy walking and are comfortable with public transportation, this is great. I had thought we'd be taking the tube constantly but the bus is the way to go. Bus stops are within a 3-4 minute walk from the flat and they get you everywhere. (Go to the TFL site and download a Lambeth North Spider map.) If you need the tube, the stop is maybe 10 minutes but we only used Lambeth North once. We used the tube for other trips within town but always ended up on the bus or walking to the flat. But even better is you can walk along the Thames on a nice walking area with views of Parliament, Big Ben, etc. to get up the London Eye area. It's maybe a 20 minute stroll if you are taking your time. 4) The flat itself is perfect. We are two adults and 8 and 11 year old boys. Perfect setup. Separate beds for each boy in one bedroom and a bed for my wife and I in the other. Nice living room with places to chill, place to eat and functional kitchen. Sure, some of the fixtures within the flat are not the most modern but I couldn't care less as they work just fine. But the decision on this is simple -- pay 1 1/2 - 2 times as much for a basic hotel room or have room to spread out and not have your family on top of each other and stay in this awesome flat. 5) London itself is just awesome. I could write pages on how much we love this city. The only problem is doing everything you want in the short time there. It's worth it if you're doing the traditional tourist things to do the London Pass. DO NOT waste money on its competitor the London Explorer Pass -- it only allows you into a few places and you can get into those cheaper on site (i.e. the London Eye). In summary, there is no better option for visiting London than staying here. Book this without any concern, you will love it!

Comfy and reasonable
It's a comfy little flat, reasonably priced, and close to public transportation. Our little family of four enjoyed our one week stay there. Jennifer was accommodating in allowing us to check in a little before the scheduled time. In addition, she was always there to answer questions when we emailed her. A few suggestions I would add are: place a trash bin in each room, provide a larger drying rack (or dryer would be even better), place blow dryer in an open space (we didn't find it until the day we left because it was in a drawer), and update wifi name and password on PDF file (but Jennifer was prompt in responding when we needed her help). Overall, those minor suggestions are merely that. Not having those amenities did not impede on the way we felt about the flat. We truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!!

Excellent choice
We loved this two bedroomed flat and have already booked it for our week's holiday in London next year. The location is marvellously central - a very short walk brings you to the Albert embankment and its great views across the Thames, of Big Ben and the houses of Parliament. Every morning we walked across Westminster Bridge to begin our day. So lovely not to have to spend time travelling into central London. The flat itself is lovely, with a much-loved and very comfortable and cosy feel. It is spacious and welcoming , well equipped and charmingly decorated with a mix of modern and traditional furniture. We appreciated the warmth ( November visit), Jennifer's excellent communication before our stay and the very helpful travel information and suggestions for places to visit, the pretty balcony with views over the park and the ability to park on-site. The nearby convenience stores and pubs and restaurants were a bonus. The cost is very reasonable and the booking and arrival process very easy and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Jennifer.

Great location. Had a lovely family break with 2 young children.
The flat is easy to find and very close to great bus routes. Also an easy walk to many attractions including London Eye and Houses of Parliament. The flat is very comfy and is just as the photos show (apart from a different sofa which is a bit uncomfortable). We were there with 2 young children and it suited us really well.
