Outrigger Resort # 5: 1 BR / 1 BA Condo en Longboat Key por RVA, para 4 personas
RVA cuenta con un estrecho sendero a través del paisaje nativo que lo lleva a la playa privada del Golfo de México en el Outrigger Resort. Los terrenos del Outrigger ofrecen instalaciones de lavandería que funcionan con monedas, áreas de barbacoa y acceso directo a la playa. Very nice place to stay!
The property was clean, comfortable. The areas out back were very nice. There are lounge chairs for the beach and and umbrella to take w you. There were a few styrofoam coolers to use also. Property is on the beach.Will stay here again! I remembered mid flight on the way home, I forgot to start the dishwasher and I am SO sorry!!

Needs Some TLC
Location is perfection. We’ve visited the area for 35+ years but this was our first time at Outrigger.
Unit is fairly large and was clean except for some raw chicken left in the garbage disposal. The walls are a cheery yellow with a mix of furniture, some that looks fairly new, some in need of replacement. Mattress on king bed is soft and lumpy and didn’t use sofa bed. The couch and some throw pillows have seen better days. Appliances are quirky. Coffee pot did not work well and toaster too. WiFi is extremely misleading. WiFi is virtually nonexistent - slow beyond belief. You’d never know it was there except for the claim the unit has WiFi. Unit is stocked, two rolls of toilet paper and paper towels and anything else you might need though some of it is worn out and worth replacing.
The beach is glorious. A short walk from unit and beach chairs and umbrellas were in a closet in the unit, but we didn’t use either. We did use loungers on beach and around pool. Some lounge chairs are slightly damaged but seemed to be enough for all those renting units. The pool is small and completely shaded by 3:00 pm but adequate if not many people are using it. The pool area was in need of a good cleaning during our stay.
No management on premises. We arrived to check in after 2, and called the agency. We were told after 4. When asked if unit was ready, it was, so we were allowed to get keys. Nothing luxurious, older unit, but okay.

We had a wonderful time at this condo! It was clean, comfortable and the location was A+. There were beach chairs, lounge beds, umbrellas and most importantly there was hardly a person on the beach! The king bed was comfy! We didn’t use the pull out sofa. Already booked for next year!:) highly recommend.

The property is beautiful, and you can’t beat the experience. However:Day 1 ( Saturday) we checked in. We had a misunderstanding on where to check in but it was definitely our fault entirely. Once we were at the resort we met the property manager. She said she checks on things a few days per week but if we needed anything sooner, we could call her. My wife specifically asked why the pool seemed so dirty. The property manager said that there was a storm the day before our check in and it blew a lot of debris into the pool. She said she cleaned it up the best she could but she also told us that the pool “person” comes Monday, Wednesday & Friday to clean the pool. We were there 8 days, 7 nights, and the pool was never cleaned by anyone besides me and my daughter. The day we were checking out, it was suddenly clean, and the property manager was onsite again. Obviously this was due to it being the day of check out for some, and check in for others. Just my opinion.

The Outrigger was a lovely location, the unit was well stocked and maintained. It was clean and the bed was super comfortable. It doesn't get better than that. Oh yes, and the price was much more reasonable than other places on Longboat. And the management were super helpful and accommodating as our situation changed a few times while we were there.

Wi-Fi is incredibly slow (1-3 mbps slow), and no keys the door facing the beach. Place was clean and well located though.

Beach retreat
We had an absolutely wonderful week in unit number five! Everything was just as we had seen online. Very well-equipped condo with everything you need including beach umbrella’s which was a wonderful touch. Will be coming back again and again. :-)

Took my 82 year old Mom for a Covid beach getaway. This condo was on the 1st floor all on 1 level and on a quiet beach. Days of swimming in warm, beautiful, green-turquoise water. Watching ospreys, pelicans, sand pipers, seagulls, dolphin and walks on the beach picking up shells Loved the king bed...really comfortable. Everything you need. Only 1 complaint... the pull out couch was extremely uncomfortable and I pulled the mattress off and slept on the floor every night. Probably better for a couple sleeping together in the king bed. Still a great location and a great time!

on the beach!
Loved that we were steps from the beach! Very convenient for kids and the back and forth runs they make.
Room was clean and comfy. Was a littler higher cost than I had hoped since the place adjacent to it was only $200 more and about double the space. Only negative is the humidity doesn't allow anything to dry in the condo. The shower needs a little love but other than that it was great. We had a fabulosu week. this was our second year at the resort.

Great location for an out-dated facility
Great location for a couple. Beautiful view and right on the beach. Convenient location.
But, the unit need updating. The bathroom specifically needs to be addressed. The tub is slick. The toilet is too small and the shower curtain and walls are mildewed. If the owners does only one thing - update the bathroom! addi8ng a couple of bar stools would also be nice.
