"Very nice property. Our room was quite spacious. It is about a twenty minute, flat walk to the downtown Bayeux. We used this area as a good mid point to visit the D-Day Beaches, Honfleur , Mont St Michel etc."

What a gem we were so fortunate to find at the last minute! Wonderful service and so beautiful!! Easy drives to the Omaha Beach museum and memorials. Breakfast was very tasty. We wished we had another night to spend to enjoy more time here. A great place for a family of four.

What is there not to like about Le Clos. Steps away from Omaha beach. About a mile or two from the American cemetery. D-day history everywhere. A very nice place to stay, quiet, clean and secluded. Fresh homemade pastries in the morning. The only negative is that darn rooster in the morning, which was not their fault. Caroline and her husband did everything to help us on our trip. They gave us maps, information for nice restaurants, and other things to do for the 75th anniversary of D-day. ...

The property is beautifully landscaped, full of flowers. The themed rooms are clever: I stayed in the room called “Dog Tags”. The sport shower is awesome! You can add a breakfast, charmingly served in a metal footlocker. You get a thermos of hot coffee, hot milk, orange juice, cold milk, petits pots de yaourt, baguettes, croissants, butter and jam. The property is located next door to the Overlord Museum and walking distance to the American Cemetery.

I gave this hotel a five-star rating in every category without hesitation. I can honestly say that this is one of the finest hotels I've ever stayed in. No detail is left unattended, no question by staff or request unanswered, no disappointment in food quality, and obviously, no maintenance deferred in the facility or spacious grounds and rooms. This is a sign of outstanding management and careful selection of staff. I heartily recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to get away from the...

Charming stay in a beautiful, classical manse in Bayeaux in the Normandy region. Though not in Bayeux town, the location is convenient for a full-day D-Day experience (my reason for visiting). The owner recommended a great place for dinner and provided home-made apricot and red currant confitures, both lovely with croissants and breads.

Absolutely stunning. Quiet, beautiful grounds (friendly grounds keeper, Lee). Very welcoming staff, anything you needed. Rooms spectacular. Felt very much in the French countryside. Would have stayed for at least 2 nights maybe 3 to enjoy the property and spend time exploring the beaches and small towns. Highly recommend. Loved our time.

Great large room that is very, very clean. Excellent location! Very quiet and very quaint. Easy walk to the downtown and there you will find fantastic restaurants and amble shopping. Staff here are very helpful. Great location for those seeing the WWll beaches or even a day trip to Mont St Michele. We wanted to stay longer!!

Beautifully restored 12th century chateau. Modern bathroom inserted into period bedroom with antique furniture. Beds comfortable, adequate lighting, and nice tv. Over the top breakfast with everything one can imagine. Chef/owner prepared dinner by reservation smelled incredible, wished we had known in advance. Good location for Normandy, D-Day tours, and Bayeux Tapestry Museum.

Beautiful property located 5 minutes from the city of Bayeux. This city has some nice reasonable priced places to eat, the famous tapestry that is 70 feet and a large cathedral. D day beaches about 30 minutes away max and of course the museums. Utah,Omaha,Point du hoc.
Prices on site are very high but if you don't mind driving into town it's not a problem. Front desk gentlemen when we checked in spoke good English and was very accommodating.

This is a charming hotel within walk of the shoreline and the nearby village. The proprietor could not have been nicer or friendlier. He made it clear he was there to serve his guests and he did so with warmth, friendliness, and efficiency. We were a family of four, and when he realized the two children with my wife and me were adults he moved us into two separate rooms rather than the single "family" room we had booked. And he did this without our requesting it and at no extra charge! If you...

Outdoor pool is heated. Property is right next to ocean and easy to walk to local restaurants. Note that you should make reservations in advance for the local restaurants as they are small and can be full.

Travelled alone and had a wonderful stay. Access code was provided for late check-in. There is limited parking and a €5 daily fee to park inside the gates but enough parking for free just outside. Cozy guesthouse and had a fantastic room with double bed and huge bathroom. Outside space is perfect for warm weather stays. Continental breakfast is included and served by very welcoming hosts. The guesthouse is situated in a great location with walking distance of all what Bayeux has to offer. ...

The best area to stay in Longueville is within the village itself, particularly around the church and the main square, as this offers the most convenient access to local amenities and the feel of the community.
Longueville is a small, quiet village, and staying centrally provides easy access to its local bakery, small grocery store, and the village church. The main square is a natural gathering point, and accommodations here often provide a direct connection to the relaxed pace of rural Normandy. This area is ideal for couples looking for a peaceful retreat.
For those seeking a more secluded and private experience, the countryside immediately surrounding Longueville village offers a selection of guesthouses and converted farmhouses.
When is the best time to go to Longueville?
The best time to go to Longueville, Normandy, France, for pleasant weather and fewer crowds is during the shoulder seasons of May, early June, or September.
These months offer a comfortable balance of mild temperatures and generally sunny days, ideal for exploring the region's historical sites and natural beauty. You'll find the countryside is lush, and the coastal areas are inviting without the peak summer rush. This is particularly appealing for couples looking for a tranquil and picturesque getaway.
If you're interested in the warmest weather for enjoying the beaches and outdoor activities, July and August are good choices. However, be prepared for more visitors, especially in popular coastal towns. Families traveling during school holidays often find these months convenient for their schedules, with a wider range of activities available.
