"I didn't expect it to be as remote as it was, but it was exactly what I didn't know I needed. A place to unwind. I caught bluebcrabs, spotted trout, drum, flounder, and even hooked (but not for long) a shark. And that was all without even getting in a boat. I saw a black bear, a bobcat, and turkeys on the road right outside the property when heading out for groceries around 5 pm. The sunrises were an intense tropical orange color that i haven't seen before; worth getting up at 5 for on a day...

The owners were amazing to work with unfortunately hurricane Debbie came through and it rained for all three days of our stay, but we were able to make the best of it and had a great time at the property, and out on the water between rainstorms. "My wife and I have been coming to Hyde County for years to hunt and fish, this cottage suitet us just fine. Perfect location and an added bonus having fresh oysters just across the road. Quiet and well appointed and cozy enough for 5 guests. Owner is quick to answer if there are problems and very nice. We will be back next year, God willing."
