The property is very well maintained with an old world charm. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The housekeeping could improve as requests were delayed to upto 4 reminders. Breakfast was very good and the lady playing flute was charming. All in all a wonderful place to stay. Thank you

This is an excellent and legacy property. Have stayed here many times and it’s just absolutely amazing. The pool is lovely and the gardens are inviting. The cafe and restaurant are very inviting with music in the evenings.

Unfortunately, my stay at Taj Lucknow was disappointing and not what I expect from a Taj property. Upon arrival, the bedding was noticeably damp. To their credit, staff responded and changed it, but we later discovered the replacement sheets were damp as well. We were told this was because the linens are steamed. Regardless of the reason, I slept in wet sheets at a luxury hotel. More upsetting was my experience walking through the lobby to the pool. I was wearing a swimsuit with a cover-up and was stopped by staff in front of other guests. Instead of addressing me discreetly, the interaction drew attention to me and left me feeling embarrassed and singled out. I am a foreign guest and genuinely felt I was being treated differently. I cannot know the staff member’s motivation, but that was how the interaction made me feel. If there is a dress-code policy for accessing the pool, it should be clearly communicated and consistently applied to everyone. I am also undergoing cancer treatment and was not wearing my wig, which made an already public interaction particularly vulnerable and humiliating. While staff were responsive about the bedding, I left feeling uncomfortable, singled out, and disappointed. For a property carrying the Taj name, I expected considerably more discretion, sensitivity, and attention to basic room standards.

Best Place in Lucknow

Amazing service. When I approached Monika for a mask, she asked me what was wrong. I mentioned that one person of our group had a cold/flu, she offered to send Kadha up to our room. This was delivered hot and soothing within minutes (free of charge of course). This ws much appreciated. The rest of the staff were also super courteous and helpful.

Pricey and Bland

It is one of the better hotels in the city, however it can be quite expensive. As a Taj property it does offer the excellent hospitality that you get at any Taj. However as a hotel, it is a little underwhelming. Compared to other Taj hotels the decor is almost non existent in rooms so when you immediately walk into the room it does feel a little cheap. However the bed is comfortable and there is a pillow menu for you to get exactly what you need for a good nights sleep.

Seriously, this hotel needs updating. The rooms are very tired. The first night I was bitten by mosquitoes on my face. Even Aisha at the travel desk noticed. It’s not equal to the Taj at Mumbai. It’s the staff that give this hotel respect. We had Hussain as our driver and he couldn’t do enough. He knew Lucknow inside out. We enjoyed out stay only because of him. Aisha was very helpful also. Than you Hussain and Aisha for making our stay memorable.
