“We have enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay, the location was spot on only 2 minutes to Lake Windermere and the ferry landing point. Colin is the perfect host, very attentive, knowledgeable of the area and looked after us well. Breakfast was a lovely; full English in a cosy setting. The room was fine with all amenities. It was our birthdays whilst there and Colin decorated the room, these touches are most appreciated. Definitely recommend 10/10”

"I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. Unfortunately, the room was not very pleasant—it felt quite outdated and wasn’t as clean as expected, with noticeable spider webs. In addition, it was quite noisy in the morning, which made it difficult to rest properly. On a more positive note, the restaurant staff were excellent. They were very friendly, welcoming, and provided great service, which was definitely a highlight of my stay. Overall, while the staff made a good impression, the condition of the room and the noise levels could really use improvement."
