At approximately 18:10, I accidentally spilled a full mug of coffee on the floor of my room. I immediately went to reception to request a bucket, mop, and appropriate cleaning product so that I could clean the area myself.
The receptionist informed me that he could not provide these items because the cleaning staff were no longer on duty and advised me to leave the coffee on the floor. I explained that this was not acceptable, as I could not reasonably be expected to remain in a room with a large amount of coffee spilled on the floor, particularly in a room without a window and therefore without proper ventilation.
I repeated my request, clearly stating that I was not asking for the staff to clean the room, but merely to provide me with the necessary cleaning supplies so that I could resolve the issue myself. I was initially told to wipe the floor with a towel and that another towel would be provided. After further insistence, I was eventually given a bucket and mop, but no cleaning liquid.
As a result, the situation remained unresolved. I informed the receptionist that without proper cleaning products, I would be unable to remain in the room due to the smell and the unsanitary conditions. Consequently, I had no alternative but to pack my belongings and book accommodation at another hotel for that night, thereby incurring additional costs.
