The Hotel staff had arranged for our pickup from the train station and were very warm at reception when they provided us with our room key and invitation to breakfasts. The room was very clean, well appointed given the historic nature of the hotel. The bed was comfy, shower perfect and the staff very accommodating all week. The buffet breakfast in the beautiful dining room was plentiful and well laid out. Again, the staff were very accommodating. Hotel still really breaths the Soviet style, but is in a relatively good condition. So quite interesting. Good bed, shower and clean room. So no problem there. We were traveling with a dog and although their policy is to not allow big dogs, they didn’t make a problem for our medium sized Aussie. Parking was free and also no extra charge for the dog. Only remark would be that they don’t have airco and we were staying there in the middle of a heatwave.
