"Fantastic property, very quiet, the neighbors were loud outside and I didn’t hear them at all while inside. I do wish there had been more patio seating. I’m not sure how many it was meant to have as I’m certain the neighbors took several but I suspect there were only a couple chairs at the small table to begin with."

"Spacious home, with lots of little sitting areas for everyone to have quiet time on their own. We enjoyed being walking distance from the Root River Trail. Short drive to Lanesboro where there was plenty to do.We were lucky to be in Lanesboro for the Rhubarb Festival, which was enjoyed by all. We also went to the The Mane Theatre for an excellent satire, "The Outsider". Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home."

"We have stayed here many trips while visiting Decorah. The place has beautiful surroundings. Is clean, comfortable and very relaxing. We recommend this as great retreat and excellent place to stay"

"Beautiful setting right on the Upper Iowa River. Very private. Very clean. This was a girl's trip (5 of us) and the sleeping arrangements were perfect. We are already talking about coming back. The only issue we had was no railing on the steps going into the house (even though it was only a few steps) and railing only on one side of the steps going to the basement. We had a couple people with mobility issues and had to be very careful. We strongly suggest getting railings in those 2 places. One of the ladies actually fell at the bottom of the basement steps. Luckily she did not get hurt. Aside from that, everything was perfect. We had fun watching the Baltimore Oriole in the trees as well as other birds and watching baby bunnies hopping around."

"This property is one of a kind! The pond is perfect for kids to play and fish. Wonderful view while drinking coffee on the porch in the mornings was a great way to start the day. A lot of wildlife to see and trout fishing close by kept everyone busy! The house is stocked with anything you might need for cooking. The owners were very easy to communicate with. If you’re looking for a very quiet, secluded vacation this is the place!"
