“Everything about the gardener lake house was wonderful. The drive-in is like going into another world down a long dirt road to privacy and spectacular view of the lake. Yet, you’re only a few miles from the town.The swimming on the other side of the dock is a nice Sandy bottom and easy for people and dogs. “We loved this house and the location! We've stayed in a nearby house for many vacations through the years but needed something bigger, and this house was perfect for us. It's quirky and filled with art, and beautiful ocean views.The upstairs layout is a little funky (one bedroom is only accessible via adjoining rooms, and one large bedroom has the back staircase in it) but it was totally fine for us. Our kids loved the visiting chickens and walking to the beach each morning.”

“Great location situated between Cutler and Machias, with beautiful vista from the porch. Shopping, restaurants and amazing hiking trails within 10-20 minute drives. We had perfect weather for our stay and enjoyed morning coffee on the porch watching the lobster boats. The house is as described and had everything we needed.
