Modest hotel, but clean with a firm bed. Good breakfast with egg and sausage, i. e. protein, not merely boxed cereal. Staff is helpful and they accept pets.
The staff were very helpful and welcoming, and the room was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. I especially loved the breakfast…such a great way to start the day!
It was very clean but also very old. The heater did not work. Fortunately it was not that cold but it would have been nice to have a heater on low. The breakfast was awful. Somewhat convenient and walkable to a few restaurants. We will not stay here again!
Pros:
Great location, clean room, and well-maintained furniture and amenities.
Cons:
The refrigerator ran noisily throughout the night, making it hard to sleep.
The front entrance door lacks proper sealing, allowing cold air to blow inside.
Room was very nice with a great view of the trees. We loved having breakfast available every morning. Thought the retro refrigerator and microwave were so cute. The staff was very friendly and informative. Coffee was great and available at 6 am. Will definitely stay here again if we visit Mammoth Lakes.
Super cute hotel. Very nice staff. They actually have a pretty good breakfast too. The only issue I had was there were coyotes out at night barking but what are you gonna do about that? The hotel did provide great earplugs though. Once, I put the ear plug in and filled my ear, and I could not hear anything else again. The bed is super comfy too so I knocked right out again. I would definitely stay here again.
Beware, the photos are spectacular, this place should be a $60 a nite max. It’s like a youth hostel but with private rooms. Well-worn is too kind a description, they are bold and lucky to be charging what they are. And warming, the Shower is one of those “install it in a small corner”, you have to get out of it to change your mind it’s so small.
That said if every other place in town is sold out it’s an option, you won’t get shanked I’m pretty sure, and the bed is a decent foam mattress.

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
Really misleading photos, booked a room based off the photos and the room looked nothing alike. They don’t advertise the room we stayed in, when we booked it showed a photo of a larger room with a living area. I think the photos should get changed, the style of room we got is not advertised anywhere. Very expensive for the small room we got. Drains were also clogged. Cute little office area, breakfast was just pancakes, staff was friendly
Breakfast was fine nothing special but it is free and it saved us some money on having to go get breakfast. The location was awesome. The room itself was great. We got to see some bears outside. The only thing I would really like them to approve upon is the cleanliness of the sheets, towels, and rug. That’s not to say the place was not clean. The showers were perfectly fine and so were the beds themselves.
My family and I had a great time. The breakfast was really good and made starting our day easy. The property was clean and well-maintained. The washer/dryer was smaller but worked great. The loft was safe for the kids and they loved it. The jacuzzi was clean and hot, although the jets needed time in-between cycles, but a great way to end a day of activities. I would stay again and recommend.
Staff were friendly and helpful at check-in and during stay. Looked forward to using hot tub and having breakfast, but were too tired to use the hot tub and too rushed to linger for breakfast . Facility shows its age, but is well-maintained and fits the ski-and-outdoor-recreation vibe of the place.
