“Very nice stop in the northern woods. The check in wasn't smooth. We never received the access code so we had to call a number to receive the code. It was easy after we called but would have been nice to just receive it like the email stated. There was a cigarette butt in the planter by the door which was not attractive to nonsmokers arriving. There was also a leftover towel under the bed. Otherwise, the room was very clean, the room was remodeled nicely, and it was a quiet place to stop……

“I liked that each room had a private balcony or patio. The entrance/lobby had two fireplaces, couches, chairs and tables and chairs where families could visit together. There were board games available, a pub with a bar and a coffee shop where you could get lattes, espresso and a great selection of other coffees. It was truly a warm and welcoming place to stay and spend time with family and friends. I look forward to returning.”

The kitchen had everything we needed. We appreciate that kayaks and a canoe were available without additional fees. We also enjoyed the electric fireplace. “The motor lodge was quiet and very clean. You can tell the owners care about the property. Added bonus were the massage chairs! Also, it was very cold when we stayed and our car would not start up in the morning. We called the property manager to see if anyone was on site that could give us a jump. There was not but they made a call for us and someone was out to help within minutes. They also made sure we had access to the lobby so we would not freeze while we waited. They went above and beyond……
