“Pleasant rooftop restaurant and helpful staff. Room was spacious and clean. Was surprised to learn that A/C was only available at an additional cost of 25000 Ariary (about $5 USD), and there was no fan in the room to make the heat bearable without A/C. The room had two beds in separate sleeping spaces, but the A/C was not powerful enough to cool anything other than the bed next to it. There was an electrical panel just outside the louvered door by the bed, and some circuit on the panel……

“ We had a fantastic stay at the Veronika. The staff make this resort incredibly special. Everyone was so friendly & kind it felt like home for the 6 nights we were there. Our room was kept very clean by the lovely cleaning ladies, the whole place was immaculate. We enjoyed the food, the flexibility to have pizza/snacks if we didn’t want a full meal was great and the Pizzas/pastas were delicious! The views from the pool and our balcony were breathtaking. She is one of the most kind and genuinely caring people I have ever encountered. Roger took me out on the boat to go snorkel with the turtles. These beautiful giant creatures are not to be missed. “We had an amazing 5 nights at the Anjiamarango. Our bungalow overlooking the sea was just idyllic- we could hear the waves as we fell asleep. The lovely cleaning ladies kept it immaculately clean too. All the staff are kind & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We just loved how peaceful it was, the beach was long and perfect for early morning beach walks. Lots of Chameleons around in the trees too which we loved spotting. The food was mostly good, we found the portions to be double the size……

“The room was clean. The room was spacious. Ther was a swimming pool right outside the room. The location was amazing and the hotel had a magnificent sun bathing deck right on the water line with a fantastic view ang great sunset. No other hotel in the bay had this. The food was somwhat mediocre .”

“Breakfast is continental with various additions. It does the job of getting the day started. The staff are attentive and will get you anything you want. The rooms are simple but clean but they do not have any air conditioning just some fans . The rooms can get very hot and it can be difficult to sleep. There is no fridge or coffee making facilities. Bring your own shower gel and soap as the hotel only provides a non scented soap stick for cleaning yourself. There is TV in the room but ours only……
