Past its prime: Feels like some weird, bad movie

Posted Apr 7, 2017
Pros: The staff are trying hard. They are friendly and engaging. The lobby is very beautiful and there was a live musician playing when I was there.
Cons: The marketing. The hotel is simply not 5 star, to say it is and not deliver is death. It would be a fine 1 or 2 star, but it's simply not there.
Location: On a very, very busy street next to a convention center. It is the modern/commercial area of the city and I didn't find that so interesting.
It was a 5 star hotel in the eighties perhaps, but today the place is running on fumes. Religious rules imposed by the owners mean no bar, no alcohol, and special food—but they are across the street from a convention center. So a prime source of paying clients avoid the hotel unless they, too, are religious. Tourists probably find the area rather boring (not much to see or walk to), so I get the feeling they are trying to make it work with not much success. It doesn't seem like they have enough operating cash. The lobby is grand, but one of the elevators is broken so there is line to use them, they are always full and no stairs are obvious. The desk staff is friendly, but look haggard. The rooms look tired: painted walls are chipped from moving furniture, bedspreads, etc. look very well used. The 80's brown/beige color palette feels like stepping back in time. The windows don't block noise very well and the street in front is packed with car traffic until the wee hours. I went to the buffet restaurant, and while the staff was friendly, the food was just OK, expensive and the place felt dead. After going back to the room we just decided to leave and find something better. Didn't even spend one night. I was annoyed as Expedia advertised the hotel as a secret "Guaranteed 5 Star" that required I paid before I saw it. They didn't mention it was a dry hotel and it is not five star in any possible way. Hotel owners: If this review annoys you, be honest.

Nice hotel

Posted Feb 23, 2017
I enjoyed the stay at this hotel, although the indoor swimming pool and the spa facilities are expensive. The outdoor swimming pool is cold, but you can get used to the water temperature in 5 minutes of swimming. There is no alcohol served in the hotel but you can walk in to the nearest hotels' bar and have a drink there. Overall, it was a nice experience and I would go back and recommend it to anyone.

Excellent location

Posted Feb 18, 2017
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Good for families. Children friendly.
Cons: Hotel needs renovation.
Location: Location couldn't be better. Walking distance to the Menera Mall. Near restaurants, shops and not far from the centre. View of the Atlas Mountains.
Hotel is in need of renovation. However, the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Pool area is amazing.

Hotel was OK

Posted Dec 10, 2016 on Hotels
The Hotel is a pricey place to stay, the accomodations are OK not the best. Ive had better in CHEAP hotel in Tokyo, Japan, Las Vegas, Neveda, and Hollywood Boulavared, California. The Staff on the counter were not the happiest people to meet and allways added a local tax, city tax, county tax, street tax, sewear tax, cleaning tax, state tax, country tax and a King tax, Morocco is a Tax crazy country!

Close to the Palace du Congress.

Check in was very slow, a bit confusing as for queuing or cutting in front of guests. Staff friendly at all times but procedures could be speedier

Good quality/value hotel

Swimming pool's surrounding floor is too slippery. Breakfast should include fruit and better organization. Nice bedroom and nice location. Good for the price

The hotel balcony was good that you can see gardens and lovely lights at night. The room clean and warm as well, for breakfast I think it's very poor and the they're so much guests that you take a long line to have some pancakes (msamn). And please don't order cheese burger...
