We had a great stay at Riad Karmela and we were impressed how warm and helpful the staff are. Mohamed and Amine were especially helpful to us with arranging transportation and making sure we get to our destinations on time and safely. The breakfast was amazing and there were lots of options with fresh fruits and vegetables. Our room was spacious and clean. We highly recommend this hotel and good location in the medina.

Ich war mit einer Freundin für eine Woche dort und es war für uns absolut perfekt. Von der Abholung vom Flughafen über Ausstattung, Zimmerservice, Personal, Essen, Annehmlichkeiten bis zur Rückfahrt zum Flughafen war alles 1a! Das Personal war super! Superfreundlich, zuvorkommend, zugewandt, hat es an nichts fehlen lassen und alle Sonderwünsche erfüllt. Das Frühstück war absolut top - auch hier fehlte es an nichts. Das gesamte Riad und die Zimmer sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Tolle Dachterrasse. Tolle Lage mitten in der Medina. Alles in allem ein perfekter Aufenthalt, ich werde definitiv wiederkommen!

Initially, I was hesitant about our decision to stay at the Riad instead of our usual chain hotel. However, as soon as we stepped into the hotel, we felt like we had found our own home. The staff, from the housekeeper to the management, were incredibly friendly and treated us like family. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay. The room and bathroom were smaller than we had anticipated, but we didn’t mind. The location was very convenient, right next to the shops. We were a bit sad to leave, as we had truly enjoyed our stay. The environment and atmosphere were lively and welcoming. We want to express our gratitude to Said, Amin, Hakim, and Oman. We wish we could remember everyone’s name, but we want to thank them all for taking care of us. We definitely plan to return and recommend the Riad to our family and friends. We had an absolute blast and will never forget our stay!

Everything was exceptional! Staff were amazing and for celiacs, they have a full gluten free breakfast with Schaefer products (bread, crackers, digestives, rice cakes!). You can’t miss with this excellent Riad!

Excellent customer service and lovely family friendly rooms! We stayed as a family or five and had enough space in the family room to move around. The only downside was the poor ventilation in the rooms however I appreciate that this is a very old building. Regardless, this day exceeded my expectations and I will definitely stay again.

Riad Karmela was an excellent choice for our Marrakech stay. Right in the centre of the medina so an easy walk to all the main souks and sights. Our room was clean, breakfast was tasty and all the staff were super helpful - would stay here again if we are ever back in Marrakech.

Excellent staff and service. We reached around midnight after a long drive through a storm. After check in, staff offered refreshing tea and dinner and did not charge us. The staff provided fresh fruits, dates and nuts and several water bottles daily. Breakfast was good but same every day.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Riad Karmela. The staff, including Fatima Ezzarha, both our drivers, everyone working at breakfast and generally around the hotel were so kind and hospitable. They went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable stay and support with delayed baggage and our very curious young son. Fatima Ezzarha, who had her hands full multi-tasking the entire time we were there, was so calm and helpful - she made us feel like we were the only and most important guests in the hotel. We've stayed at many riads in Marrakech and the breakfast is stunning and absolutely unrivaled. We will definitely be back!

Nous avons passés un séjour vraiment au top au Riad Karmela. Tout était parfait du début à la fin. Le personnel est au petits soins avec une mention spéciale pour Amine qui nous a fait nous sentir chez nous dès le premier jour. Il a été de bons conseils et à montrer beaucoup de bienveillance tout au long de notre séjour en famille. Notre plus jeune fils a même eu du mal à le quitter. Nous avons fait une excursion proposée par le Riad dans la vallée d’Ourika au top, notre chauffeur et notre guide Khalid ont vraiment été super. Le restaurant, le petit déjeuner, la chambre … tout est juste incroyable bravo à tous, nous repartons pleins de souvenirs et nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

Riad Karmela at heart of medina, run by a team full of heart Eager to escape the end of the harsh British winter and keen for some early spring sunshine, we opted to go to Marrakech for a week. We picked this Riad because of its location and aesthetic and it did not disappoint. Situated in the Azbezt area of the medina, it is a few minutes’ walk from all the hustle and bustle of the souks and is excellent for all your needs as a tourist in the city. It is close to most of the main attractions and no more than 10-15 minutes walk from excellent restaurants. We took advantage of the transfers arranged by the hotel which was an excellent idea, as they bring you as close to the hotel as is physically possible. Walking down the narrow street to the fairy lit tunnel entrance, you enter the hotel and find an absolute oasis of peace and quiet. The riad is beautifully decorated in a traditional style, with several small courtyards that guests can rest in and shelter from the sun and the city. The roof of the hotel has many chairs and loungers for people who wish to worship the sun. The rooms were brilliantly furnished, with great facilities. The bed was amazingly comfortable with wonderful pillows we wish we could have kept! The breakfast every day was an excellent buffet, with an enormous range of tasty treats and delights on offer, including a wide range of hot and cold drinks.
