"We added a quick stay here before our safari and we wished we had stayed longer at Zanzibar Queen. The pool and grounds were very nice. For the beach they provided water shoes (which are needed) but best to bring your own. The manager was exceptionally nice. We were initially concerned having just one restaurant but the menu was good and we were totally happy. Some meals were not part of our package but additional meals and drinks were reasonably priced so we never felt taken advantage of. We will certainly come back."

"The hotel is beautiful and the service is outstanding and caring, smiling and helpful. The food is also great. There were a few small things like the smell in the bathroom and also they provided very basic toiletries, not vanity set, or bathrobes or slippers that I use to get in more basic hotels. Also for some reason there is no blanket just a sheet to cover and I had to ask a few time to bring me something thicker "

"This was my first hotel in Zanzibar and I would return in heartbeat to stay longer. The aesthetic was relaxing, the owners were present and enjoyable to visit with. The food was DELICIOUS!! It was quiet, peaceful, and comfortable. The waters are somewhat shallow on the beach in the morning and then rise as the day continues. Be sure and wear water sandals or footwear with a hard sole. There are many prickly urchins around. There are also spots where there are not and it makes for a great area to swim and cool off. The sands are clean and WHITE! I loved it here and I know you will, too!"

"Zoi is a very special property that feels like a luxurious home away from home. While the property is gorgeous and wonderful, it is the people that make it exceptional. The genuine kindness and desire to make your stay absolutely wonderful are memories that will stay with me forever. I will truly miss the lovely people I met at Zoi. Nice, the receptionist, goes out of her way constantly to make sure you are totally happy with your stay at Zoi. I assumed she was the manager, that is how good she is! She was handling everything as if she were the manager, from scheduling to problem solving water pressure issues to making change to overseeing staff to well, I can't think of anything she wasn't up for handling! The lovely girls who take care of the rooms make up the bed everyday with the most lovely designs using flowers and towels! It's those little extra special touches! The restaurant has wonderful food and plenty of it! The menu changes daily, although they have some staples as well. Jean, the chef, is amazing. The wait staff are so attentive but not overbearing at all. You can linger as long as you like with that beautiful ocean view. I especially enjoyed talking to Neema, she was just the sweetest! My only issue had nothing to do with the hotel, but the beach out front. It is not a great swimming beach because of the sea urchins (though you can wear shoes) and the tides are tricky. It's certainly beautiful though and makes for the most spectacular sunrises."
