"I can't say ENOUGH great things about this place. It's a 2nd floor unit with a beautiful pool view. The complex is well maintained with a quaint little restaurant down stairs and other the smell of fresh baked bread, you'd never know it. The apartment itself is well appointed. I was extremely comfortable ex: nice bed, hot water, great shower and super clean. You will have everything you need here. "To be honest everything. The room was full of dead ants when we arrived, including on the bed which we had to clean ourselves. And during the day, the water turned off and when we called reception, they were briefly rude and abruptly ended the call. The restaurant’s food was terrible as well and overpriced, we asked for a menu and did not receive one and were charged buffet price for left over food (which we didn’t even get to choose). Also, we made the mistake of booking a massage to relax, the massage itself was okay, but the room and equipment were dirty and the payment was complicated for no reason. The reception lady gave us false information about the payment, and denied it rudely after. Which confused us and the massage lady. I would not recommend this place to anyone and would never come here again. It was a shame since the local people are nice and most staff were also nice but this made me feel very negatively about the place. "

It’s incredibly quiet and calm — the perfect spot for relaxing, thinking, and simply enjoying peace of mind. Everything about the property is designed to help you unwind. The atmosphere is serene and private, and the cleanliness is top-notch. The staff are extremely kind, friendly, and professional — they serve you with genuine care and attention. The pool is wide, clean, and refreshing — a great place to spend your afternoons. The Wi-Fi works perfectly, which is a big plus. Honestly, there’s nothing unpleasant I’ve experienced so far. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm and refreshing escape. A perfect stay!"

"We loved the Ecolodge de Simal. It's really off the beaten track (quite literally so), but once you get there, the location is wonderful: right on the water. We were there for three nights. The food was plentiful, fresh, and tasty; the free activities (like a excursion en pirogue) was wonderful; the pool is chlorinated and clean; the rooms are rustic with open air bathrooms and toilets, but comfortable; the housekeeping good; the bar/restaurant staff friendly. It's not a "luxury" resort--there's no wifi or AC-but for the average traveler who wants to feel comfortable and relax, and who is interested in not seeing the "same old" Senegal, this place is for you! I would return again without hesitation. While you're there: take a day trip to Fadiouth and the amazing Musee Mich"
