Such a solid location to explore from, I really enjoyed the historic building and the beautiful view of the busy main street below. Very reasonably priced, great snacks for a short stay and restaurant attached for a meal. Thanks for the lovely trip.

Staff was ok. Room was cold the whole time. Subzero temps and their heat pumps couldn’t keep up. Dishwasher didn’t get the dishes clean.

The Duluth Radisson is really a mixed bag of great and not so great things. First off, I'm OBSESSED with their retro 60's lobby. It's such a vibe. The rotating restaurant on the too floor is also wicked cool, though the menu was a little pedestrian. They have a pool, sauna and hot tub, but the latter was non-functional when we visited. The rooms were where the Radisson lost its luster. The view was spectacular. Seeing a skyview of Bentlyville from our room was pretty cool, and the higher you go, the more of the city you can see. That's really where the room positives ended. The rooms maintained the retro vibe, but some elements were updated where some just seemed tired & dated. The conversation chair, while unique accent piece, was also covered in stains. Yuck! The bathroom was crammed into the narrowest part of the wedge-shaped room, it was cramped. The door opened right into the toilet (you wouldn't be able to get the door open if someone was on the loo), and the sink was built right over the toilet, so setting a makeup or toiletree bag on the counter was a gamble as there was a solid chance they'd end up in the toilet. It was functional enough, but the decor gave it plenty of character to make up for the bizarreness of the layout. The worst part for me was the bed. I woke up in so much pain that we switched hotels for our second night. I absolutely LOVED the retro vibe, and the views, but I don’t know that I'd return.

We always have fun at Barker's Island. Value great, food good, and nice to have an exercise room.
