“Beautifully renovated house with a gorgeous view. It’s not far from the road, but situated in such a way that it’s extremely private. The stream made for some really fun waddling, and the waterfall makes you want to spend every minute on the deck. It’s close enough to Pilot Mountain and Hanging rock that we could spend the day hiking and come back to the hot tub and a drink on the deck. Small rambunctious children need close supervision, but our toddler did great and had a blast.”

The host had a binder of all of the things to do and visit, and they were spot on with all of it-excellent recommendations. The house was perfect for us- I totally missed that one room had a full sized bed instead of a queen sized bed, and I also missed that the bonus room had an air mattress (I thought one of the couches was a pull out sofa bed). I honestly doubt many have to use the air...

“This property was incredible. Clean, spacious, perfectly set up for guests, no details left out. Owner and property manager were very responsive. One thing I wish we'd known - the drive up to the house is VERY long and steep, lots of switch backs. It's very passable, but you should know you're driving .4 miles up, you're not going in the wrong direction! The property is a perfect private hideaway with room to move and think. The home housed myself and my five siblings comfortably…very homey with loads of charm and character. I hope this property is available every time I plan to visit the Ararat area!”
