Almost home

Posted Aug 23, 2015
Pros: Staff was friendly. I was quiet in the room.
Cons: New features. (TV, bathroom, bed, etc.)
Location: Southern Oregon is beautiful. The day before stay, I Paraglided from Woodrat mountain. Fun stuff.
The Shilo Inn is very dated. The chain needs to invest in this site and update the amenities.

Never again

Posted Aug 10, 2015
Pros: Easy to find, good location
Cons: Redo it
Location: Grants Pass is a great town. There are many things to do like the Hellgate jetboats.
I booked this hotel because my experience with Shilo Inns have always been great. Not this one. It was very dark and outdated. The room had a weird smell and there was stuff on the walls. No fridge or microwave. The ice machine was broken. The pool had lots of dirt on the bottom. Would not stay there again.

Clean place to stay

Posted Aug 3, 2015
The hotel was very basic but clean. It did have a pool and a simple breakfast. If your looking for a safe clean place to stay for a night along your road trip I would recommend.

2 star is way too high

Posted Aug 2, 2015
Nasty mold in bathroom, we switched rooms and 2nd one was just as bad. The ceiling above the shower had a bulge in it full of water waiting to burst. This hotel uses real keys instead of electronic ones that every other hotel in the world uses. Door barely locked. Couldn't get out of there fast enough...avoid this place at all costs.

Wouldn't stay there again. I have stayed in a few other Shilo's and always been happy. This one however, was one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. The pool was disgusting, the beds were as hard as rocks, and the furnishings were out of the 80's.

Uncomfortable!!

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Nothing like the pictures! The room was run down, carpets were wet, air conditioner wasn't working, bathroom had no cold water, the beds were unbearable, and the ice machine was out of order. When we called to notify, they already knew, we were told we'd receive a discount. At check out they denied the discount because we used a web site to book. CRAZY!!

Call and check on the pool

Posted Jul 20, 2015
We arrived at the hotel after a very long drive to find out that the pool was broken! One of the main reason we booked this hotel. The beds weren't all that comfortable and they still use regular keys that didn't work every well. The add also said we would have refrigerator and this was not the case.

The stay was great. Employees were friendly and the breakfast was amazing considering other continental breakfasts.

Great bargain

Posted Jul 18, 2015
Rooms were a little dated plus we had real door keys not the plastic key fobs. Haven't seen that in awhile. Rooms were clean but older with smaller box tvs. It was nice and quiet and we had a relaxing night. The included breakfast was amazing. Nice choice of items including fresh fruits, juices, milk, cereal, buns, breakfast burritos, yogurt, eggs, etc etc. Staff was very helpful and kept things running nicely. Definitely woukd stay here again!
