La struttura si trova in una posizione eccezionale, non nel caos del centro ma a 10 minuti a piedi su na strada pedonale che costeggia il fiume di una bellezza e tranquillità estrema. Sul balcone lato fiume c'è sempre stato sole ed è stato bello sedersi a bere un bicchiere e scambiare quattro chiacchere con la compagna

Charmante Übernachtung nahe dem Zentrum

Das Hotel, eine mehr als 100 Jahre alte Villa, ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen, die Holzböden knirschen und knarzen, man sieht das Alter überall - aber das macht auch den Charme des Hotels aus, halt was anderes als die Hiltons oder Holiday Inns. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, das Bett war prima, Frühstück war auch gut. In 10 Minuten ist man zu Fuss im Zentrum, prima! Uns hat’s gefallen!

Nice trip, friendly service. It is a old house and old rooms but good beds, good location in 10 minutes you are in the city. The Hotel is at a little river. Its sound good if you have open the window. The breakfast was great. There was everything you could wish for. Even soft eggs

More Like A Care Home Than A Hotel

I struggled to find any kind of budget accommodation in Merano, this was one of the cheaper places but it was in no way good value, Merano and Tirolo however are lovely places and well worth visiting. Westend is an easy walk from the station and the town centre, it's tucked away on a quiet street and not the easiest place to find. The room was large and comfortable but the fixtures were tatty and tired. The whole building is similarly 'well-worn' with a musty smell, the front room with comfy chairs and even a cage of birds reminded me of an old folks home. Breakfast complete with prunes and mountains of doilies confirmed my feelings. Yes the manager/owner still does the passport in the pigeonhole thing and was in no way friendly but other staff were extra helpful to make up for him.

Ort der Erholung und der Einkehr

Das Hotel Westend steht in einem fast autofreien Quartier. Das Zentrum vom Meran ist zu Fuss leicht erreichbar. Wer das Hotel besucht muss den historisch bizarren Stil des Hotels mögen. Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm und die Bedienung äusserst freundlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet war einladend. Allerdings müssten die Anbieter dem frischen Brot noch etwas mehr Aufmerksamkeit schenken. Wer es mag, kann auch am Abend spontan vor Ort essen und zwischen verschiedenen Angeboten auswählen.Dem Hotel vorgelagert ist auch ein sehr schöner Garten. Man könnte das Hotel als Ort der Erholung und der Einkehr bezeichnen. Abseits vom Tourismusrummel doch schnell mitten drin!

Kurzaufenthalt an Pfingsten

Das Hotel ist ein über 150 Jahre altes, ehrwürdiges Haus mit einem wunderschönen Rosengarten und grossen Zimmern mit allem nötigen Komfort. Die Böden knarren, die Zimmer haben gepolsterte Vortüren und die Allgemeinräume sind sehr heimelige mit alten Polstermöbeln gestaltet. Man fühlt sich in frühere Zeiten zurückversetzt. Alles ist aber sauber und wirklich angenehm. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ausreichend und fein mit super Kaffee und zuvorkommenden Kellnern. Es besteht auch die Möglichkeit die hoteleigenen Fahrräder gratis zu benutzen oder auf Vorbestellung auch das Dinner im Hotelgarten zu geniessen. Vor dem Haus fliesst ein Wildbach und über die Fussgängerprommenade dem Fluss entlang gelangt man in 10 Min. ins Zentrum. Wir können dieses Haus sehr empfehlen. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut o.k..

Great location, within walking distance to the downtown. Free parking. Great breakfast. And they offer a discount to the thermal baths, among other things. My only complaint was I found the bed quite uncomfortable (hard/stiff), but my husband slept fine. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Loved that the hotel offers free bikes, which we made good use of to get around Meran. We enjoyed our stay here. Would recommend!

Das Hotel ist ein historisches Haus aus dem Jahr 1897 im Villenviertel von Meran. Grossartige und absolut ruhige Lage an der Flusspromenade, über welche man das Kurzentrum in einem kurzen Spaziergang erreicht. Vor dem Hotel stehen kostenlose Parkplätze zur Verfügung. Großer Garten mit Palmen und exotischen Bäumen. Sehr freundliches Personal an der Rezeption. Viele Zimmer haben einen Balkon mit einem schönen Blick zum Fluss und über den Ort auf die umliegende Bergwelt. Sehr bequeme Betten, Minibar und Flachbildschirm-Fernseher. Alles sehr sauber. Der Frühstücksraum ist elegant im Stil der Belle Epoque eingerichtet. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet mit regionalen Produkten. Wir haben uns hier wohl gefühlt, kommen gerne wieder und können das Hotel empfehlen.
