It was beautiful waking up and seeing the boats on the river, very quiet and lovely staff.

Staff, accommodation and breakfast all excellent. Some low beams due to the age of the property

Clean rooms and quite a relaxing atmosphere for a break

This was a reasonably priced and fairly comfortable option. Staff were generally very helpful and exceptionally polite. However, on our arrival after being seated in the brasserie, we had to wait a long time and eventually find someone, to place our order. We liked our room with balcony, and the parkland environment. However, it was impossible to use the bathroom during the night without waking the other occupant because of light spillage. As a suggestion it would be good for the hotel to work with the university management to develop a safe pedestrian route to the bus stops at South Courts - the footpath runs out at the car parks and we found we had to walk on the road to progress towards the bus stop. This would be completely unmanageable for someone in a wheelchair. There was a wedding going on during our stay and as the wedding party were using the enclosed garden space, we weren't sure if we could sit there.

Staff friendly and helpful. Room beautiful, bed extremely comfy. Food excellent. Lack of hanging and shelving space the only down side.
