The staff working there was great. The room was roomy but the layout was really weird. We paid extra for one bedroom but the wall making it a bedroom was basically touching the bed. It would’ve been better without the wall. There was also a door separating the bathroom and the living space but it just made the room more cramp. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Outstanding hotel with wonderful staff ready to assist with all your traveller needs and questions. The location is excellent within good proximity to transport hubs, excellent dining options and shopping. The onsen was a lovely surprise and fantastic after a long day of sightseeing.

5 star anywhere in the world. Front desk is amazing. Especially Yokoyama who took many extra steps to care for us during our stay. The Onsen is clean and worth a trip. The nightly cocktail hour was also very enjoyable. Bottom line is that we were so impressed by everyone at this hotel.

This was our favorite hotel on our 10 day trip to Japan. The onsen was amazing, the massage chairs hit the spot when available, and we enjoyed the free coffee / ice cream / ramen daily. We had a great stay. It was near the shopping areas as well as the traditional district Gion. The rooms were comfortable and modern with a bakery and restaurant on the premises. We would definitely stay here again when in Kyoto.
