The stay was excellent, lobby, restaurant, coffee bar were all great. It is old, and the rooms could use an update, but was very clean and nice. TVs are outdated, definitely would bring a Roku stick the next time I stay.

Facilities were as advertised and expected. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were put in a room facing the pool and asked if there was a room available across the hall facing the golf course. It was late when we checked in and unfortunately there were no rooms which were clean. However, the next morning, Cindy at the front desk had housekeeping clean a room for us right across the hall. Thank you for all your help, Cindy! The BIG negative of the room was the internet service, or lack of. Yes, you do have internet service. However, what is provided at no charge is so slow, it was basically useless. When trying to open emails, I thought I was back in the early days of AOL, using a modem. I eventually just gave up trying to read my emails and resorted to just using my phone to read any emails that required my attention. You could purchase faster internet for $8/day. However, I refused, out of principal, to pay an additional fee for "working" internet when internet service is advertised as being provided. Shanty Creek should be ashamed of themselves, and I will never stay at this unless this facility again unless the internet situation is resolved. I do not know what the internet situation is at the other Shanty Creek properties.

Place is in great need of upgrades/renovation. Exhaust fan didnt work in the bathroom. No hooks for towels. Desk chair was cracked and in horrible shape. The location is great but it needs lots of tlc

Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly staff member at check in. The rooms were nice and clean and the hotel was nice and quiet. The coffee was good but could’ve been a little hotter. We had to put it in the microwave to warm it up. The waffles were delicious. Check out was simple and easy. The only issue we had is there was still hair in the shower. Everything else was nice.
