“Boquete Cloud Forest Lodge is one of the most beautiful places on earth! The owner is one of the most fascinating people you’ll ever meet, and we enjoyed our meals with him. The two gentlemen who operate the lodge are amazing. The cabins are stunning, right out of an architecture magazine! Our family slept soundly, and the views of the volcano and surrounding clouded forest was breathtaking. We went on a local hike that has been cleared by the owner, and we saw a Quetzal very near the lodge,……

While the rest of the staff was very nice, helpful, and accommodating, we had a major issue with one specific female staff member. Upon arrival, she was quite rude and flatly refused to answer basic questions about our reservation, stating that she would not assist us until 3:00 PM. “Pros: upstairs shared area is incredible. Comfy couches, picnic tables and beautiful views. Beds were comfortable. Shower was great with hot water. Location is near some great restaurants in walking distance. Cons: the walls are thin and the wind rattled all the doors in our room. ”

“While the grounds, rooms, and majority of the staff were wonderful, we had a very poor experience at this hotel. Our power went out twice, once for 14 hours during our stay. We were not able to have showers, lights, or use any of the facilities in your room. I told the manager, Abel, about this issue and he did. Nothing, rushing to leave the facility at the end of his shift rather than taking the time so simply flip the breaker for our room and restore power. We communicated our concerns in……
