Our stay at Hotel Posta was wonderful! Our room and bathroom were perfect and our balcony looked out onto Lake Como - gorgeous! The staff were very friendly and helpful with ferry schedules. The restaurant on property was absolutely delicious - we ate dinner there a couple of nights! And the breakfast (included) was equally good! We would stay again if we ever get back :)

This hotel is in an excellent location in Moltrasio, with the lake and ferry wharf on the other side of the road. Parking is available a short distance away. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were good. The air conditioning was very good.

The Hotel Posta Maltrasio was a great stay. Do not get this hotel confused with Hotel Posta Design. Design is in downtown Como. Maltrasio is up the hill with great views. The staff at this hotel was wonderful, led by the front desk wonder, Theresa. She was more than great. Whatever you do, get to know her, and she will be the guide you need. The room was good, typical size for Europe, but well kept. Some would say the rooms are old -- it's an Old hotel, not a brand new W on 59th st. in NYC. Some things to remember: if you don't have a car, a taxi to the hotel from the San Giovanni train can run 40-50 euros one way. If you are not limited by time or unable to walk a bit, my advice is to walk from San Giovanni to the ferry. The walk is about 15-20 minutes. The ferry is 4.5 euro each way to the Maltrasio dock. The hotel is 50 feet from the dock. You'll see homes and other stops as you ferry up Lake Como. Definitely a great investment and savings. The restaurant was solid. We got spaghetti bolognese, and the beef dish. Dessert were good. Walk up the steep Holy Staircase to a little town with shops. THe walk is steep and cobblestone-like.

This was the highlight of our trip- the setting, food and staff were amazing! The hotel is opposite the public transport boat stop so it was easy access to everywhere else on Lake Como.

John & I really enjoyed our stay in your hotel. It was very easy to find & having the ferry terminal directly over the road made it very handy for day trips. We particularly enjoyed the food.
