We chose the property based on its proximity to an event we were attending. This is actually the second time staying at Riu Montego Bay. We spent less time on the property this time, however, he quality of the food at the buffet is better, but the jerk hut still has the best food on the property. The drinks are not strong, the entertainment is good and is the selling point. I would stay at this hotel again.

I liked that in the spa area they remembered my name and the massage and pedicure services were amazing. I also liked that they had a mini bar in your room with sodas and water In The refrigerator but it was broken so the drinks were almost boiling. The hotel offered me an upgrade for $250 to have an ocean view room so I paid but then the elevator was broken so it was like a gym workout going to the third floor so they gave me a refund and switched my room out to a different building. Get to the new room and the refrigerator is broken in there and now I’m seeing roaches crawling across the floor!!!! Now it’s time for dinner and we go to the buffet restaurant and while we were eating, a roach crawled on the table almost on my plate then two cats come out the fake plants the had and sat there beside the table!!! So I alert the server about it and he acted like he didn’t care and took my plate and walked off! The. We go to the manager and he basically said every property that he worked at has had a roach problem and gave me a card to call a helpline and it was the wrong number on it. I thought this was a good property to stay at but only made me wanna go home faster.

They have roaches. I found a roach in my hotel room & at the dining table during lunch. They have a huge cat problem. Tons of cats are walking around the property freely.
