"Beware. Avoid this hotel. We paid in full, through Expedia, a couple of weeks prior to our check in. Processing of that payment was confirmed through PayPal, & Expedia confirmed payment to Home2Suites by Hilton in Champaign IL. However, Home2Suites processed a second payment the day of our check in, through the debit card on our Hilton rewards account. I have spent several hours in communication with the hotel to resolve this, to no avail. They are aware payment in full was made prior to our arrival. They have seen proof of that. No return communication has been attempted from the hotel’s manager. Expedia is now taking over responsibility of communicating with the hotel. However, Expedia noted that they had difficulty with the front desk of the hotel answering the phone. Yes; this happened multiple times for me, too; I had to press option of “reservation”, simply to speak to someone. That was a consistent issue during the stay as well. In addition, breakfast was lacking, & that is the most polite way to say that. Staff person at breakfast said they would refill items that were gone at the time we started breakfast, but that was never done. Upon researching regulatory agencies to notify of this hotel’s fraudulent charges, I became aware that there is a historical pattern of fraudulent charges made by Hone2Suites in Champaign IL. We will never return to this hotel. I wouldn’t roll the dice if I were you."

"The breakfast were good choices but even at 6am, it was still cold/warm. The room was very neat and clean. Staff was nice and attentive. Plenty of parking. Not a far walk Do recommend. Will be back"

"Stayed from 1:30 am to 7:30 am. Had to stop to sleep on a long drive. Everything was clean and nothing to complain about. Would stay again on other trip intake this way. "

"Super clean hotel, room was on the smaller side but very comfortable. Shower worked well and had ample hot water. Appreciated the fridge and microwave in room and the breakfast options. Would definitely stay here again when in the area, as it’s just a short drive from the UIUC campus."

"We had a room reserved here, but did not stay due to the rudeness of the front desk help. All I said was that I was surprised about the pet fee since it was not clearly listed on the hotels.com site like others were. I had chosen this hotel because others said they HAD pet fees, but this one only said pets allowed. When I questioned the pet fee, the manager very rudely told me it WAS listed on the site, and she would find it and show it to me! I told her I had not seen it on the site, and she said you don’t have to stay here! I can cancel the reservation and you can go elsewhere! There was no need to escalate the situation. I had my card out and was willing to pay the fee. We don’t typically travel with pets, so this was a surprise to us. There was no need for such rudeness!!!! It’s a shame because the hotel was a lovely place!"
