Rathbun Lake, Deer Run Rental, & Fully Furnished Cabin!

Rathbun Lake is one of Iowa's largest and finest lakes with over 11,000 acres of water, 155 miles of shoreline, inviting coves and great water quality. This combined with the beautiful oak and hickory timber and thousands of acres of restored native grasslands, provides a wonderful setting to enjoy the great outdoors. There are 21,000 acres of public land offering swimming, boating, hunting, golf, trails, eight parks, marina and off road ATV park. Cabin has a large partially covered deck on the front and a fire ring in the back yard. A deck also leads you out the back door allowing you complete privacy as you are surrounded by timber on all sides. The cabin also has a washer and dryer, dishwasher and full size refrigerator, WIFI with Hulu live and movie streaming. It sits on two lots that borders Lake Rathbun in the Antler Acres subdivision with private access to a walking path to the lake.

Nice clean place for a vacation!

Great location to Rathbun Lake ,easy access to boat ramps,bait shops and dining.House was roomy,clean felt like home with a big yard with a firepit and semi remote area would like to stay again the future!

Great stay! Close to boat ramp!

We stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate a bday with family and friends. The cabin had everything we needed and the location was great. It was clean and kitchen was well stocked with dishes and etc. We really enjoyed it and plan to hopefully return next summer!

Excellent property close to Lake Rathbun. House was clean and in a nice area with easy access to get the boat to the boat ramp and plenty of room to park it in the evening.

Perfect getaway

The home was beautiful and amazing . Quite , peaceful location . Amenities provided was wonderful . Love the barbecue, patio , and yard . The backyard fire pit was wonderful for s’mores . We will be returning and definitely will tell friends that this is highly recommended to stay for a retreat ! Thank You for such amazing experience

Enjoyed our stay. Check in was smooth. Cabin was clean with a well stocked kitchen for family dinners. Sheets and towels were clean and well stocked. Enjoyed hiking to the lake and family time around the fire pit. Would definitely visit again. Thanks again Scott!

Wonderful

We had a great time here! The walking path to the beach was nice, but it was getting a little over grown the farther we went in, but easy to find and follow. The beach had some weeds as well, but the dogs enjoyed cooling off in the water. The ticks were bad, but thats expected. The dogs are treated, but we forgot our bug spray. Fortunately we were able to drive about 10min into tien to the bp gas station and purchase some. Overall, it was nice, quiet area for a weekend away.

Very nice and close to Lake Rathbun

Very quick with response on early check in request. House was very clean and well equipped. Close to Lake Rathbun where we had other family staying. We boated every day there. Would definitely go back.

Close to Lake Rathbun

This property is close to the public boat ramps at the lake. The kitchen is well stocked with detergents, kitchen supplies, serving dishes, etc. Lots of seating in the living room for family movie nights.

Nice Place

We liked the cabin. We loved how close to the shore of Rathbun Lake it is. Reasonable price for a getaway. The owner is exceptionally accommodating. Our original dates were going to have temperatures in the 100s. He allowed us to postpone so we could enjoy our vacation. Thank you so much Scott!!

Relaxing and Comfortable

I stayed here with my mother and daughter- We enjoyed staying at the Deer Run Rental. We were in the area for a wedding at Emerald Hills Events so we were busy and didn’t get to enjoy the property as much as we would have liked but I would absolutely return in the future. It felt very homey and comfortable inside with plenty of cooking supplies and a grill, comfortable beds, and even extra blankets and beach towels. Very quiet, lots of nature to see, the path down to the lake was beautiful we enjoyed wading and walking along the lake.

Great fishing get-away.

We found the home ready for us and well supplied with everything we needed. I appreciated the back-up propane tank for the grill as we needed it. Nice grill, by the way! Almost needed a stepstool to get in the bed! It was a fishing trip for myself and my three sons. Plenty of room to park the boat and two other cars. A less than 10-minute drive to the State Park boat ramp. Also brought two kayaks which we left hidden in the woods by the lake shore. No problems.
