We enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful inn with beautiful wood floors. Very Norwegian. Lovely sitting room and breakfast lounge. Smaller private rooms but with a great ocean view. We weren’t used to common bathrooms but not a big deal.

Our stay at Catogården was absolutely amazing and one of the highlights of our trip to Lofoten. This is a truly unique place where every piece of décor feels intentional and thoughtfully selected. The eclectic style creates a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes the property feel special from the moment you arrive. One thing worth noting is that all guests share the common bathrooms. As someone who is a bit of a neat freak, I can honestly say this was the cleanest shared-bathroom accommodation I have ever experienced. The bathrooms and common areas were spotless at all times, and fresh white towels were always available, making the experience feel comfortable and welcoming. The amenities are exceptional. There is a dedicated coffee/team room, kitchen and several beautifully designed common areas where guests can relax and unwind in the evening. Every space has its own character and charm, yet everything feels cohesive and incredibly well thought out. We also appreciated the availability of electric vehicle charging, another example of the hosts' attention to detail and commitment to guest convenience. Every single aspect of Catogården reflects careful planning and thoughtful design. From the immaculate cleanliness and unique décor to the inviting shared spaces and practical amenities, every detail has been considered to create an absolutely amazing experience. I highly recommend Catogården to anyone visiting Lofoten and would stay there again in a heartbeat!❤️

The staff here was great, not having an en suite bathroom wasn’t a problem and there were so many bathrooms and showers in the facility to use. Great activities you get a discount on.

International heaven with a local heartbeat

Very welcoming staff and a great location right in front of the fjords made the experience relaxing and enjoyable. Catogarden is all about mindfulness and "sharing is caring" kind of behavour. Nice extra services like yoga class (free of charge), sauna and kayak tours. All with a view, of course. They also have a honesty bar and a small boutique whereas you can buy some food or local crafts. Also had the opportunity to have an amazing barbecue on the patio of the hotel.

Very nice place. Only disappointment was the hot tub. They advertise they have a hot tub but fail to mention it costs $30.00 per person extra to use. Plus it wasn’t hot and they said it could take 2 hours to warm up. They prominently show the hot tub in all advertising. Very misleading.

A warm an inviting place to stay in Reine

We arrived in the Lofoten Islands after a record snow a week before, with more snow than in the last 25 years. It was a winter wonderland. Upon arriving at the B&B, which is the size of a small hotel, we were warmly greeted by Runhild, the owner, who showed us around the house. The room we had selected online had a beautiful view. I am a professional photographer, so I was in the middle of photographing Lofoten and she made suggestions on me for both photographing the village and the Northern Lights. My 24 year old daughter accompanied me and she was invited to do a Kundalini class with Runhild the following morning. I had also participated in a regular yoga class, impromptu, the previous evening. They also had an espresso maker that made the best cup of coffee I had in Norway. This is a warm and welcoming place in a spectacular location. I'd love to be there in summer when it's possible to kayak. I'd highly recommend Catogarden any time of year!

Vi trivdes bra på catogården. Där fanns möjlighet att laga sin egen mat. Vi kom med buss och visste inte om att det inte fanns någon affär i Reine. Tre km enkel väg till närmaste livsmedelsbutik. Hade varit bra att veta om detta innan. Bra att det fanns fri tillgång till te/kaffe och popcorn.

Her føler man sig hjemme - Super søde mennesker!

Dejligt sted, var lidt udfordret med "fælles toilet/bad" på gangen, men det var bare super flot standard og på ingen måde et problem. Værterne er super søde og hjælpsomme.

Mysigt och trevligt

Rent, fint och mysigt. Väldigt trevlig personal och varmt välkomnande. Gemensamt kök, litet men ok, saknade dock ugn. Gratis yoga på morgonen, var superskönt och en bra start på dagen. Man kan även boka kajakturer. Har man inte något emot delat badrum och kök så fungerar det utmärkt att bo här.
