My first time staying at a Haka House hostel and I was blown away! They kindly let me check in early as my bed was ready and a towel was provided upon request. I stayed in an 8 bed female dorm but it felt more like a 4 bed because of the way the room was divided. The beds were very well thought out with little shelves, a reading light, outlets, and a privacy curtain. The lockers were huge. Property exceeded our expectations. Very comfortable& even had robes & slippers & high end bath products. Great location with excellent restaurant right around the corner. Highly recommend for stay when in visiting Franz Joseph & Fox Glacier area.

Westhaven Motel was an excellent place to stay. Not only was this a wonderful motel in its own right, but it is mere steps from all the glacier guided tour companies in the center of town. Nick (the winter motel manger) made us feel right at home, and was very kind to drive us to Lake Matheson (which saved us a 20 min walk on a very cold day)! Highly recommended.
