The capital of Mykonos Island is the picturesque town of Chora, commonly known as Mykonos Town. The town is home to many of the island’s hotels and hostels, and many visitors to the island base themselves here. Spend a few hours eating, drinking and people-watching in the harbor district. The area is the town’s main entertainment precinct, and traditional Greek tavernas line the streets.
