Touch of Old Japan

An older hotel but the accommodations were fine. Staff was friendly and the room had two levels - the upstairs had western style beds. Breakfast was good.

The room is spacious and we love the Japanese style so much. So clean! However it would be perfect if the windows have blackout curtains or sample curtains. The Japanese paper curtains really can’t block the sunlight during morning. We woke up early by the sunlight.

食事を外で食べるかホテルで食べるか迷うところだと思いますが、ここのディナーはお値段以上で奈良好きになってしまうほどでした。 朝食もおすすめです。 もう一店舗あるので気になります。 また奈良に来た時は必ずチェックしたいホテルです。

4人家族で和室に泊まりました。年季が入った部屋でしたが清掃が行き届いており、気になりませんでした。朝食は美味しく、レストランの店員にも良くしてもらったので、気持ちよく過ごせました。ただ少し遅めに朝食に行ったためか、柿の葉寿司が品切れで少し残念でした。

ゆっくり過ごせました

古いですが部屋の中は清潔で広々としていてゆっくり過ごせました。 朝食はおいしくて、スタッフさんもみんな感じが良かったです。

Popular with locals

Hotel is a short distance walk from Nara station and well connected with buses to major attractions. Check in was smooth as staff speak English. Room is spacious however it looks a little old. The bed was hard (as compared to western hotels) and it seems consistent with Japanese hotels however it was too hard for me to sleep well. Breakfast was prefect with both western and japanese selections, in fact it tastes better than 5-star international hotels in my view. I see why this hotel is so popular with locals.
