"Amazing views and space. Wished we could have stayed longer. If you are traveling with a family, get the two bedroom apt with Mountain View. The kitchen is well stocked, close to the major sites. We have stayed at 8 different hotels/guesthouses as we traveled throughout Iceland and by far this one was most spacious, had beautiful views of the mountains, and sheep/horses etc. also very clean. "The layout of the hotel seemed more like a motel with all units at ground floor level. The rooms are a good size, warm and comfortable, ours looked recently redecorated. Spacious bathroom with walk-in shower and underfloor heating. A kettle and Nespresso machine were supplied for tea and/or coffee. "the man and women at the front desk were amazing. they went above and beyond for us. we were in a car accident (rear ended) on our first day in Iceland (about 15 minutes from the cottages) and were very stuck as we couldn’t drive the car or make phone calls. we got in contact with them and they not only picked us up but moved us into a room in the main part of the building so that we could be close to the front desk to use their phones to make many calls back and forth to our car rental company....

"A wonderful place to stay. It was really a mini-cabin, with a kitchenette and a couch, plus a long bench on which to lay suitcases and stuff. Very clean and very well thought-out, with a Scando interior. Bath was ultra-modern. Quiet, bright, and with big windows and nice lighting. Best of all, we got to see the Northern Lights! "The owners were incredibly helpful; we arrived fairly late in the day, and they called around until they could find us a dinner reservation. On our last day, we wanted to get an early start, and they provided breakfast earlier than normal. They also helped us locate good hiking places that were nearby."
