“Our stay at this property was extremely disappointing. We received no check-in instructions and had no idea where to go upon arrival. A man washing a car in the driveway (not the host) directed us down a side yard and into a basement unit (never mentioned in the listing). There was no cell service, so we had to stand outside just to contact the host.The keypad lock didn’t work, and after multiple messages, the host told us not to worry because “the caretaker would make sure no one goes in.” This……

“The host was extremely attentive to any questions or needs. Excellent and immediate communication. Good, quiet location between Islip airport and Port Jefferson. The size of the unit was very adequate for two people. Bathroom was clean and adequately stocked with towels and wash cloths.The reason for 2 stars is we thought the apartment was not very clean from floor to ceiling. This apartment has huge potential to be very cute. In my option, it needs an entire over haul.”

“We were visiting my daughter’s school for the weekend so the location of the apartment was very convenient because it was a very quick drive. The location however was near a depot where the local sanitation company keeps its trucks, which meant you would hear the trucks leaving the depot very early in the morning (probably around 5 am). However, it is manageable with a pair of earplugs. The shower itself was pretty tight as previously described in other reviews, but it was fine for……

“This is a must property for any vacationer traveling to Long Island. You will fall in love with quiet evenings after delightful beach walks. Don’t forget the therapeutic ocean air! Within very short walking distance, you are near The Pavilion and the famous Kokomo’s Restaurant. Kokomo’s is the best ocean restaurant in Old Lyme for a reason, with fantastic ocean views and an unmatched family dining experience. As Old Lyme begins its long-awaited restoration project, this beach apartment will……
