La Bougainvillea Hotel and Villas

North Palmetto Point

10/10 Excellent

La Bougainvillea was a random choice, but we are so happy we chose to stay there. It is a relatively new venture with an eye for detail and and an engaging staff. The location is mid-point on Eleuthera and the beach is absolutely spectacular. If you are looking to get off the grid and unwind, this is the spot. We'd start each morning with a walk along the 2 mile beach and swim. The sand is amazing...clean, like "walking on marshmallows"...can we trademark that citation? A steady breeze...

10/10 Excellent

From taking us into town on our first night for some groceries to giving us a lift to the nearest beach. He also directed us to a friend who we were able to rent a great car from. The hotel itself was well equipped and very thought-out. There was a nook for every need, an outlet at every corner, lights galore. Both the interior and exterior of the house are colorful and true to the spirit of...
