Good simple hotel for visiting the Disney parks and surrounding areas. Lots of dining options nearby, hotel was quiet and felt safe. Basic amenities but everything worked perfectly, would come again!

I like the cleanliness of the hotel and felt safe staying here however it was really hard to get in contact with front desk also was never able to use the t.v. In the room other than that it was a good stay.

The pictures are VERY deceiving. The only upgrades of note are a coat of paint. Our room was TINY and never received any type of housekeeping during our stay. We couldn't open our door initially, since it was so old and hard to use. The air conditioning unit was the only flat surface beyond the bed. The bathroom was not clean, with dents and scratches in the wall. There was no fan, but we could constantly hear one. The MINI fridge and microwave were stacked and underneath the only hanging clothes area. We could hear EVERY word and whistle that the people next door were making into the night. And when I used the complimentary hair dryer, the cord was melting so badly that I thought I had gotten marshmallow all over my hands and outfit. Not a nice area at all with a huge road directly in front. No dining or vending machines at all and even the landscaping is bad. We were trying to save money, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Find some place else to stay!
This is a hotel I used to go to at least 6 times a year. However, since new owners took over this hotel, the conditions of the hotel have been extremely disappointing. They no longer offer the little continental breakfast, for one. Yes, they painted the outside of the structures, but the inside was horrible. The bed linens were stained, the pillows were like rocks, for the 2 of us there was a towel and washcloth for each of us (no hand towel), all 3 ice machines were broken, the vanity was broken, et cetera. We will never go back there again.

Cheap but...No fridge, no ice, dirty carpet.
Carpet not clean. Not enough towels. No soap/shampoo/ shower gel. I asked for a fridge due to having a 2 & 4 year old who need milk and fruit etc and was told there were none available. when I pointed out there was an empty room with a fridge next door to us I was told I could have the fridge if i could shift it ourselves - so we were given a room key for next room and we did drag the fridge and attached microwave in to our room - but it was full of mould! As I was disparate - I cleaned the fridge myself with a whole tub of anti bacterial wipes. You get what you pay for! There is no ice machine on site so Had to go to Waffle House next door and wait in line if you want ice - not great in 90deg heat! The staff were really friendly and helpful and there was free coffee in the morning. Can't beat location for WDW. Didn't use pool but it looked Ok.

Honestly, I don't understand all the horrible reviews. Front desk staff was friendly. Hotel was nicely painted. A/C cooled the room fine. Water drain worked fine. Hot water worked instantly. I always take tub cleaner and disinfectant to any hotel no matter where I go. I must say that when I first entered It felt dirty because it was VERY HOT inside. I think if they are expecting a guest, they should turn on the A/C ahead of time. Bed was a bit hard and pillows were mushy. But at $30 a night, I can't complain. The room served its purpose. It was also in a great location near all theme parks, downtown Disney, near Old Town, had a waffle house, Long horn at walking distance. My review is based on a $30 a night room. Only reason I do not give it 5 stars is because I have been in slightly better $30 a night hotels.

Be careful with on line photos!
Pool was not open until I complained and was told to see manager the next day. Ice maker was broken. soap but no shampoo. Advertise ride to parks but not available and finally when we returned for the 2nd night stay late, room was never made up. We were so upset that we did stay but drove home at 2am. I paid $80 for 2 nights. What a disappointment. I should have paid more and stayed inside Disney!

Got the job done
We stayed at Parkside for one night. It was a last minute trip and the room was only $30. The front desk was very nice. Our first room was dirty, the second room we got was better. The bathroom curtains were full of mold and the ac unit was dirty but we were only there for a few hours so we got what we paid for.
