Creekside in the Smoky Mtns. has a rejuvenating quality. Something we all need!

Creekside is located on 6 acres nestled in the Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina alongside Drymans Creek. We have just one rental unit, so booking a stay at Creekside, you will be the only guest. It is 800 square feet all on one level from your car to the door with bath and shower one step up. The unit is recently remodeled on the lower level of our home overlooking Drymans Creek with a view of the mountains and a horse pasture . It has a covered deck and private entrance. It is most private and quiet. Listen to the serene sounds of the crystal clear water rushing over the rocks, take in the mountain view from the deck with the creek below. Watch horses graze in the neighboring pasture. Walk the creek taking in natures splendor. You might like to pan for gold or hunt for arrow heads in the creek! Hike the many trails nearby. You will especially want to visit Pickens Nose a rock outcrop on top of the mountain and stand at 5200 ft and look into the valley below. The Appalachian trail is nearby and water falls abound. Our area has been the setting for Hollywood movies too! The original "Fugitive" was filmed nearby. The train wreck is still visible too! "Deliverance", "Last of the Mohicans". Most recently "3 Bill Boards Outside Ebbing Missouri" to mention a few. If you are an antique motorcycle enthusiast you'll want to visit "Wheels Through Time" motorcycle museum showcased on TV as the show "What's in the barn". There's so much to see and do you won't want to leave! Motorcycles are welcome with easy access from highway. We have covered parking for motorcycles if needed. Also in the event of a motorcycle break down, we have a trailer setup for transporting large touring bikes and a good shop to take it to.

Creekside serenity
Truly enjoyed our stay at Creekside, the Volks really put effort into a peaceful and tranquil home. Joseph was extremely hospitable from the first glance of us pulling up the driveway. As we made our way around the backside of their home we fell in love with the backdrop. We made it a priority to sit down and unwind watching the horses from the adjacent property graze. The space was just perfect for our party of two with the right necessities needed.The location was just close enough to Franklin yet far enough to relax. Will definitely plan on returning in the future. Thank you Joseph and Joceline for the warm hospitality and housewarming accommodations.

Wonderful Get Away to Relax and Rejuvenate!
Everything about this property was outstanding. Communication from the host during booking, welcome on arrival and making sure we had everything we needed during the stay, but they are also respectful of our privacy. The inside and out side is well groomed and maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed, even coffee for our first morning. I forgot to bring some. The porch is a sanctuary, I could sit there all day taking in the views and listening to the creek so peaceful. We ate breakfast every morning and drinks in the evening. Built a fire in the fire pit on the last night and enjoyed a cold beer watching the flames. Take the mountain trip offered by Joe, he is a great guide and the views and waterfalls are spectacular. There is so much more I could write, but book some time and see for yourself. We only stayed 3 nights and that was way to short.

Beautiful weekend getaway!
We were in for the weekend for a music festival and chose this amazing spot! The hosts Joe and Joceline made everything welcoming, including a luggage cart if we needed it. The property is just kept beautiful and so clean. Every morning we started our day with coffee and hot chocolate sitting on the porch listening to the sounds of nature. We definitely want to book again to stay longer and take Joe up on the tour! Thank you again for your hospitality!

Awesome experience in OTTO. John and Jocelyn are amiable, generous, and respectful. The cabin is immaculate and fully equipped to make you feel like you're at home. The place is spacious and features a spacious bedroom and bathroom, a spacious living room, a modern kitchen, and a laundry area. There is a covered patio and fireplace. There is a sound of water running in the creek, birds, and horses. Awesome Wild Life Experience. John took us for a ride on his four-wheeler at the top of the mountain, we saw the surrounding mountains and Franklin City.... Jocelyn and John, we are grateful for the wonderful hosting experience. We are looking forward to returning soon.

Peaceful and Relaxing.
We truly enjoyed our 2 weeks at Joe and Joceline's. The accommodations were very clean and well maintained. The view from the porch was great and we sent many pictures to friends and relatives of the mountain, creek and horses. Joe was great to talk to and has a wealth of knowledge of the area. If you want to relax and get away but still be at close the food and natural beauty this will be worth your stay.

Amazing place!
It is so difficult to put into words how great our stay was! From the beautiful, comfortable, clean home to the quiet, relaxing porch with the sound of the creek and view of the beautiful horses. Not to mention the wonderful hosts! They were so kind and welcoming and went out of their way to help us when we had am issue arise with our vehicle. We will certainly be back again!

It was a little piece of Heaven. This was the best VRBO that I have stayed at. It was immaculate and had all of the amenities you could ask for and then some. Plus the porch with the stream close by. The hosts also provided fresh farm eggs for your stay. Area is close to Franklin, Syvia, Cherokee, Highlands, and Dillard, GA. The hosts, the Volks, were excellent hosts and made you feel like family. If all VRBOs were liked theirs, then you would akways book and go back. Loved It.

Absolutely charming
The Creekside unit was absolutely charming. It was perfect for a couple's getaway. The kitchen was beautiful and had little "extra" touches like fresh eggs waiting for us. We loved spending time on the porch swing with overlooked a little creek below. There was even a fire pit that maybe we'll get to try on another trip. The host (Joe) was very welcoming and a wealth of knowledge about the area and things to see. We'd definitely like to stay again.

100% pleased with every single aspect of this experience. Location was a perfect homebase for exploring other towns and sights. Every day we visited someplace different up to an hour away, and every evening looked so forward to getting back "home". The non-stop babbling creek and balcony was icing on the cake.

Perfect get away weekend
This was the perfect get away weekend, not enough time to do all that we wanted. We needed a little R & R and this was the place for that. Quiet, beautiful, and plenty of things to do. The hosts have thought of everything from sitting on the private porch with the spectacular view, fire pit area, games, reading material, places to eat, and letting you know what is happening in the area that you might want to attend. We enjoyed the fresh eggs, hiking to Pikens Nose, going to Dry Falls and eating out in Franklin and getting a chance to enjoy some music being played in the town square that evening.Enjoy!

Amazing Stay
Overlooking a creek that makes for the best white noise machine you could have, this place was in the ideal location. Tons of hikes, rivers, and outdoor activities nearby with a downtown not far away complete with breweries and restaurants. Joe was a great host and even toured us around the property. One of our best stays ever!!
Creekside was awesome!! It was a beautiful property inside and out! The inside was beautifully decorated, spacious, and everything we could possibly need was available. The kitchen was wonderful, bed was great, and the porch was probably our favorite. To sit together on the swing and just take in the beauty of the scenery and to hear the peaceful sounds of the creek was so relaxing and peaceful. Joseph was so kind to take us on a tour of the beautiful neighborhood but we were sorry we missed meeting Jocelyn. Again I can't emphasize enough that this was a perfectly wonderful stay with everything we needed and more!

Little bit of paradise !!
We wanted a relaxing getaway and we found a private little bit of paradise. Joe and Joceline were amazing ! We arrived as it was getting dark and it was raining and Joe was there to greet us !! He showed us around and gave us all the info we needed. Exhausted we fell to bed and when we woke and saw the view outside … Wow! The porch view was hilly pasture , grazing horses, deer , a ground hog family , wild turkey and the bubbling creek and Mountain View … oh the sounds - creek, birds, and horses !!! All nestled on the beautiful 6 acres !! Joe and Joceline thought of every detail!! They had fresh eggs on the kitchen table for us, the kitchen was stocked with all you need , the cottage is warm and cozy with everything you need - for your stay and for any adventures you want to take ! Joe & Joceline have great knowledge of the area and both are so wonderful to talk too and just filled with warmth … best hosts ever !! We arrived as strangers and left as friends . The area is beautiful and there is so much to do within an hour drive but our greatest moments have been at the cottage and finding a new friend . Thank you Joe and Joceline for opening your home to us and your loving hospitality !

Joe and Jocelyn's hospitality was superior! Joe greeted me when I arrived, helped me with my bags, and showed me around. In the kitchen I had fresh eggs and a birthday card, which I had mentioned as a reason for my trip. They provided plenty of information about the property and things to do in the surrounding areas. (Easy access to Clayton GA or Franklin NC) The property was exactly as described, immaculate, and spacious. It was so peaceful listening to the creek and sitting on the balcony enjoying the view. I loved everything about my stay; I was able to do some hiking nearby and then rest and relax. I would defiinitely return! Joe and Jocelyn model excellence in vacation rentals!
